I have no reason to respect comments from any theist. Their comments are typically overly ignorant of facts and truth, and usually imply something stupid or wrong about atheists. My primary reason for being disrespectful to a theist is that they expend so much time and effort attempting to force their beliefs on me and other atheists. In my opinion, theists are almost constantly using their strength in numbers to force politicians to pass laws respecting their religious beliefs, and that is a definite violation of the Constitution of the United States. Typical example is their current attack on women’s rights regarding abortion. The majority of Americans believe abortion should be legal in most cases. Theists have been attacking the rights of American women to have an abortion, and are even now trying to stop the use of the “morning after” pill to stop conception. They succeeded in getting the SCOTUS to cancel Roe V. Wade, which ensured the right to abortion for American women. This was also a political issue, and would not have happened if the court had not been stacked by extremists including Trump. A woman’s right to an abortion is a human right to control her own body, and no law should prevent that right from being used. But theists fought long and hard to cancel that right. And so far as I am concerned, that is a direct violation of the clause in our constitution that says “… congress shall pass no law respecting a religion…..” No theist forcing their beliefs or will on non-theists deserved any respect what so ever.

I will respect theists when they respect my right to fight their efforts to subjugate us to their will and beliefs. When they make stupid comments, I will point them out. Frankly, those people who honestly believe the religious items they are fed by brainwashing from youth are ignorant and typically not given a decent education. Frankly, my opinion is that religious schools should be illegal. That would stop the dissemination of brainwashing to some degree and improve the average education level of all our students. Meanwhile, when a theists spouts more stupid drivel, I will reply with no semblance of respect. Stupidity tinged with avarice and a desire to force their belief on the rest of us does not deserve respect.

Yesterday’s news again showed why religions and the extreme right wing of politics need to be eliminated, politicians by voting them out and religion by walking out and never going back. Headlines as follows: “Half of Michigan GOP vote to retain a ban on cohabitation by unmarried couples”. “Transgender lawmaker silenced by Montana House Speaker”. “Unrepentant Bigot is GOP front runner in North Caroline Governor’s race.” All of this is the result of religious influence over the more extreme GOP politicians. The church uses the GOP to get laws passed supporting their beliefs, giving them control over people and forcing compliance with their beliefs. On the other side, the GOP sucks up to the church as a means of getting more votes to get reelected. This is a very unholy alliance that is in obvious violation of the constitution of the United States. Remember to vote against racists, bigots, anti-gays, and anti-transgender people. All of which is a religion based discrimination against anyone not complying with their beliefs. Such discrimination should be illegal. Actually, I thought it was. But few religious persons respect the rights of non-religious persons.

This world will be a far better place when the last religion has died of its own absurdity and people actually have freedom from the oppression of religions. Religions are just a scam, and exist solely for the purpose of controlling others and taking thier money.

I have no reason to respect any comments from a stupid atheist who believes in murdering babies taking away their rights and demanding that the ones who bear them murder them in the womb. This is not a "Mexican standoff" because you have lost this fight before you even start it.

You should be more careful where obtain your material. I'm not sure if you plagiarized this one also. Given the jejune content, I tend to believe this is an original. Your first lie was regarding the First Amendment. What it actually says is...
"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances." That's a little different from your Cliff Notes version.
When a fetus has it's own heartbeat and brainwaves and ability to feel pain, it is no longer the "woman's body." Rights have responsibilities, and with the availability of free and/or inexpensive birth control, many unwanted pregnancies could be avoided in the first place. (See? I did not recommend abstinence; as I am not religious so much as realistic).
The fact is that your puerile, vitriolic hatred for religion merely exhibits the intolerance and bigotry so common among those of lower intelligence. In your own way, you are no better than the zealots you profess such hatred and contempt for. You are every bit as intolerant, opinionated, misinformed and biased as an illiterate snake handler in the Ozarks one hundred years ago.

I also have an OB-GYN in the family who’s been practicing over 40 years. Healso says its so rare that its not a valid argument.

I was glad to see a few Republicans on this forum step up to say not all of them are maga....Its time for everyone to realize that true conservative people have something to bring to the table and true liberal people do to.And let's not forget about the majority of people in this country that are moderate because they also have much to offer..We used to be mostly give and take with compromise needed to be reached for the greater good...Many Republicans seem to think that Pelosi and AOL along with Raskin and Goodman are terrible people and that's simply untrue....You want bad and I present to you MTG,Boeburt,Comer, and Gates...and Jordan ...those 5 should be set down like little children and told that either you clean up your act and present yourself in a professional manner....or you get punished...acting like circus side shows is no longer acceptable... forming sub committee for the soul purpose of just throwing stupid questions out to someone so its caught on camera will no longer be tolerated.. heckling during the State of the Union will cause anyone to be handcuffed and thrown out . You are an adult and you will show respect when any president is talking...That doesn't mean you agree but you show decorum or leave.Act like you have common sense or go home

I have a few questions for anyone on this forum that believes a heaven and hell exists...1.if these places exist then undoubtedly whichever place someone goes they will be there in a spiritual form and eating or sleeping or even burning by flames does not seem to be possible...2. If someone is mentally challenged in there earthly body and doesn't have the ability to really reason or be able to function totally on their own....in heaven or hell would now anyone suddenly be able to think normally and now be able to reason?..3.If there is a so called Book of Life and there is a judgement day...how long will the line possibly be considering that potentially hundreds of billions of people forming a line to wait their turn....4 Will time no longer exist .5 and lastly if there is a heaven and hell....where are these places located....I'm not mocking anyone and I hope if someone replies and answers please be decent and respectful...as I'm asking these questions hopefully to get quality answers

Atheists have a myopic outlook on religion. The majority are apparently incapable of comprehending any options other than Atheism or Fundamentalist Christianity. Fact is, Christianity is predated by Hinduism, Buddhism, Judaism, and (pardon the pun) God only knows how many in-betweens. Atheism is the go-to position for those who are, in their own way, just as close-minded as the most radical Christian denomination. Atheists' rallying cry seems to be "follow the science," which they do until the science contradicts their deeply held beliefs. In this they are no different than Theists.
Human hubris is no doubt providing a good laugh to whatever superior intelligence[s] there are in this universe of ours. Picture, if you will (I got this analogy from elsewhere) several nests of ants in, say, the Amazon Rain Forest. You have Atheist ants, Baptist ants, Catholic ants, Muslim and Hindu ants, who knows? Maybe even some Scientology ants, all of whom claim to have THE answer. Let's say their idea of God[s] is humanity, except that none of them have ever seen a human or have any knowledge of how we think. That is the scale of humanity in this universe.

No that should not have happened and I thought it was disrespectful... Pelosi is getting on in years and that may have contributed to her showing anger in a non productive way...It has to go both ways and the two biggest side shows need to be professional and grow up...MTG is nothing but a piece of work....its not an occasional misstep with her but more like just making herself look more foolish and ignorant each time she does pretty much anything...let's see what dumbass stunt I can do to show that my last dumbass stunt was only a warmup...first I will ask the school superintendent from Michigan why 5 billion dollars was used to teach critical race theory to kindergarten children....and then I will show nude pics of Hunter because I wish my man was as big as he is...And for my encore I've decided to go up n down the halls of the capital and ring cowbells and blow a new years tooter so I leave no doubt in anyone's mind that I might be in my forties but I am mentally in my early teens...and then there is L.Boeburt who stands up in front of C-pac and lectures everyone about the proper way to conduct themselves and because she is a shining light of decent morals and a role model to be a cut above....decides to let her new boyfriend fondle her breasts while jerking him off in a public theater.....and we know how rules do not apply to her and no smoking is not no vaping even though the sign clearly says that neither is allowed....when someone is a public figure and that person is so dumb and stupid enough to do private things in a public place.....She does not have good judgement and no class ....and lets top it off with telling people that Ryan Reynolds and Babs are trying to buy the 3rd and 4th district congressional seats......with each of them donating 500 dollars to her competition....woah...that's some serious cash for financing elections....Big bucks.... LMMFAO.....can we get some adults involved with running the country..
