Think about it. The Iranian backed militias have been hit before. After those experiences they likely know where American airstrikes will hit them. They are not stupid. Your boy Joe gave them plenty of time to get ready.
What your boy should have been doing was punishing them all along, for all of their unsuccessful attacks. Even though American counter measures were taking out nearly all of their attacks without American casualties, with the hundreds of such attacks, a couple of them were bound to succeed.
