Despite doing web searches several times, using different wordings, I have NEVER seen a side by side comparison of the various costs, material, labor, energy etc. in producing and driving EVs vs. gasoline powered cars. And I mean a full comparison. For instance, how is the power derived? What do the materials cost?

Or when ALL power is out due to storms. There was local news about our just passed couple of weeks with 0-14 degree weather where EVs were having a hard time finding charging stations...and there were no storm outages...just higher than average usage.

Weasel,
Isn't it amazing that people who are considered fairly intelligent get sucked into the electric vehicle bs! The internal combustion engine cars and trucks will never! And I mean never will be replaced by and EV car or truck! NEVER! No matter what the government says or does!

You might want to tow that hybrid along with you on trips in bad weather…or to remote places… or really just anywhere in case you stall out, short out or the battery dies in the middle of nowhere…

Fire departments were having a hard time putting out fires! Lithium is highly toxic and poisonous when it burns, and it burns very quickly and very hot...there's almost nothing left after the fire is put out.

This is one disturbing picture of an EV after a fire...

Glad to hear it. Each to his own. I believe the point is the government shouldn't mandate EV's or anything else for that matter, or subsidize entire industries that have not proven their product is marketable to the mass's. WEspecially since this idiot administration insists on picking winners and losers.

Dumb and stupid Biden has not experienced the pains, demanding us to drive an EV. Let him drive it.

Yes they leave more tire residue on the roads because they wear faster and cause more residue to enter our streams and rivers. Of course, they don’t talk about that!

But I had heard a rumor that Hunter Biden had an investment, 10% interest in a Lithium company in Afghanistan which is why Joe Biden wanted to remove troops from that country. I will have to research that but that was the rumor wayback!
