Many of the weapons were sent to a U.S. military logistics hub in Poland, while others were shipped directly to Ukraine. The equipment includes shoulder-fired missiles, kamikaze drones, and night-vision goggles.

Alexandra "Sasha" Baker, the acting undersecretary of defense for policy, said last November, when a draft of the report was leaked, that required accounting procedures “are not practical in a dynamic and hostile wartime environment."

The IG report found that "American defense officials and diplomats in Washington and Europe had failed to quickly or fully account for many of the nearly 40,000 weapons that by law should have been closely monitored because of their battlefield impact, sensitive technology, and relatively small size," according to the New York Times.

I guess they were too busy, or something.

“These are identified as the items — that because of their sensitivity, their vulnerability to diversion or misuse or the consequences of that — it’s particularly important to have this additional tracking and accountability in place,” said Robert Storch, the Pentagon’s inspector general. Storch is the primary watchdog for American aid sent to Ukraine’s war effort.

I say we should never have gotten involved. What do you think??

We should give Ukraine everything it needs to quickly repel the Russian invaders, this has dragged on too long.

yes, but in all likelihood it was Biden's fault for sending Ukraine $ in the first place, What about our own borders in Texas, Arizona, California...He doesn't care about the US citizen at all. As a matter of fact I see the US caving to China...

I reckon that Putin would not have attacked Ukraine, had Trump been in the WH.

Trump would never have issued Brandon's "minor incursion" policy statement, which was

widely credited with encouraging Putin' subsequent invasion.

“It’s one thing if it’s a minor incursion and then we end up having a fight about what to do and not do”.

We never should have started this war, and most definitely should never have sent even one cent to the Ukraine.

We do have the money if we want to. That is a phony excuse to avoid looking like a pro-Russian troll.

We did start this war, we have also been instrumental in its continuation.

The Ukraine has NEVER had a chance of winning this war. The only thing we could possibly give the Ukraine to " win" is nuclear weapons. The Ukraine has already " misplaced" over a billion dollars in sensitive weapons.

Short of nuclear weapons the Ukraine has no chance of winning, and never did. We owe the Ukraine nothing. Quit wasting our money and their lives.

And at some point in the future our soldiers will be facing those weapons.
