The alleged security leak is supposed to have taken place DURING his presidency. The president has the ultimate authority over what is or is not to be kept secret. So even if the conversation took place, and even if it revealed more than any teenage geek could easily find on line; it still would have been well within the powers of the president.

How many news agencies regurgitated the story has no bearing on its substance. Nor do news agencies confirm the veracity of stories anymore before reporting them.
