Thing is JR there are so many federal government employees feeding out of the taxpayer trough they hate to vote for a different political party fearful that they may not have a job.
As you say many departments need to be eliminated.
The ATF is being enlarged to:
ATF&G ( Alcohol,Tobacco,Firearms and Gas)
Need federal employees to make sure no one is using a gas stove or water heater.
Many jobs are called a 8 hour loaf.
Easy 💰 money.

My apology. I meant to type Department of Education. Then again you can abolish all the alphabet agencies as far as I’m concerned.

I have always thought of myself as a teacher. Primarily some variety of Christian education, from Sunday School, to teaching campcraft and survival skills to coaching basketball and volleyball, from supervising from infant through kindergarten care at church, plus decades of tutoring in high school, then college, from my own kids, to friends kids, to my grandchildren. Though the couple of years I worked as a substitute teacher were the only times I did so 'professionally'. I know my experience is not the same as the rigorous workout full time educators deal with, but I have always felt I had the heart of a teacher, as well as being a servant and guardian. I am just an old multitasker for God and His children, no matter their age.
Anyway, it is nice to know that you are a kindred spirit.
