From my sideways fence top perch, I see you spinning out of control having tantrums over political events that you can do nothing about except watch, vote and donate.
You are correct about my selfishness, my priorities are set properly.

You most certainly have the wrong slant here. The question is what can the average citizen do to affect the future of the nation? I suggest a few:
1. Become informed on all sides,
2. Vote intelligently not emotionally,
3. Join discussions of the current political scene,
4. Present your political views at every opportunity,
5. Try to bring others to your point of view,
6. Put your congressmen and senators on your mailing list and write them about your opinions,
7. Contribute to worthwhile political organizations.
Or: Stay sitting on the fence, keep your mouth shut, your pen sheathed, and your keyboard silent.
