A Christian is someone who believes in Christ. If Jesus Christ is not the main subject of their belief (like Buddha is in Hinduism), then they are not Christians.

As Buddhism and Hinduism are two totally separate religions, Buddha has nothing to do with Hinduism.

That's greatest 1st and most important Commandment. From Jesus: Love God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. The second is love they neighbor as thyself. This fulfills all. Matthew 22: 37-39.

Matthew 16:13-20
Jesus meant that the foundation of the Church was to be this faith. Peter himself is like the first rock in God's building. Jesus is the foundation and God's building is the Church. Peter was the first person to declare that he believed in Jesus and he became an important leader and teacher in the early Church. The Catholic Church.

The Holy Eucharist:
Matthew 26:26
While they were eating, Jesus took bread and blessed it. He broke the bread, gave it to his disciples, and said, "Take this, and eat it. This is my body to be given up for you. "

I don't want to judge who is saved or not. God I appreciate and respect all good people who love Christ. Most non-Catholics I read at OPP believe that the Catholics are not saved, because they think that Catholics faith is against Christ. On the contrary, the opposite is true.

One of the most important reasons why I am a Catholic. We have the Covenant that Jesus asked us to follow and obey. The Holy Communion of the Blessed Sacrament.

Eucharist is an expression of the New Covenant with God in Jesus Christ.

Matthew 26:26
While they were eating, Jesus took bread and blessed it. He broke the bread, gave it to his disciples, and said, "Take this, and eat it. This is my body."

Matthew 26:27-29
And when He had taken a cup and given thanks, He gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you; for this is My blood of the covenant, which is poured out for you, for the forgiveness of sins. [/b]

https://biblehub.com/1_Corinthians/11-25.
In the same way, after supper he took the cup, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood; do this, whenever you drink it, in remembrance of me.”

I am glad I was raised a Catholic and educated in Catholic Schools till 15 years old. I learned all the virtues God wants his children to follow. I make mistakes, y es, I am human and not perfect. But we go to Christ for the forgiveness of our sins. I have been blessed in my life great and small. And I thank God for that. I take the Holy Covenant with God every Sunday., unless I am sick.

Fox News staff are mostly Catholics The owner of Fox News is also a Catholic. Here are the list of Catholic Anchors and news reporters at FoxNews. https://www.godvoter.org/fox-news-christian-roman-catholic.html.

Five of the SC Justices are Catholics.

In the mid-1560s, as the Spanish Empire expanded northward from the Caribbean to unexplored Florida, it founded the colony of St. Augustine, built the 1st Christian Catholic Church.

Catholic has the highest medical hospitals and providers all over the US.
Is the Catholic Church the largest provider of healthcare?
The Catholic Church is the largest non-government provider of health care services in the world. It has around 18,000 clinics, 16,000 homes for the elderly and those with special needs, and 5,500 hospitals, with 65 percent of them located in developing countries.

The Catholic religious order with the highest number of universities around the world today is the Society of Jesus with 114.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Catholic_schools_in_the_United_States
The United States had 7,498 Catholic schools in 2006–07, including 6,288 elementary schools and 1,210 secondary schools. In total there were 2,320,651 students.

There are 1.09 billion Catholics in the world. Does this mean all of them are NOT saved, including myself?

There is no perfect church. All have failures. Because we are human. The Catholic church, I agree have some too because of human error. But we the people of the Church, God loves us all.

I love all the people of God. It is not for me to judge them if they are saved or not. The First Commandment is what we focus on. Love God above with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. The next one is Love your neighbor as yourself.
May God bless all of you at OPP.

Everything....math, science, religion, everything we 'know' are inadequate attempts to understand and grasp the Universe God created, and all of them are flawed estimates that are incomplete approximations.
I am a firm believer in evidence. I believe in God with all my heart, and a confident Faith, because I have seen and experienced much evidence within my own life and family that I am convinced of both His existence and His love for me.
But what I have seen and experienced and KNOW is firm evidence would not be accepted or convincing to anyone else. It is personal. That is how God reaches out to each of us. Personally.
Belief systems, whether it be in a church or science or whatever, are ALL essentially 'religions' based on faith in something. Choose wisely.
I know quite a bit about science due to training and a lifelong interest. Science is wonderful and incredible, and is a long LONG history of amazing discoveries that have mostly been proven wrong as we learn more. What we 'know' today is at the top of a mountain of disproven beliefs, and those disproven theories will only continue to grow faster as we learn more. As much as I love and am amazed at what mankind has learned, I have no faith that it has or ever will provide us with all the answers.
So choose where you place your faith wisely. Listen to Jesus as He speaks to your soul.

Amen, and amen. The Lord has spoken to me so strongly, and at one time he saved my life in a horrible car accident in So Florida when I was a teen. He spoke to me the first time to trade seats with the other teen, and I kind of ignored it, he said it again, and I still didn’t do anything, the third time, he spoke it so urgently, that I obeyed, and traded seats with her, and within two minutes, we went over a railroad track, at 80 miles an hour, and had a blowout, flipped three times, and came back across the median, landed in a ditch, killed two teens, my best friend in the back seat, and my younger brother was sitting in her lap. The girl I traded seats with had to be put in a body bag. There was nothing left to the car, only the floorboard. The Lord spoke to me so plainly, and I am so grateful to him. Had I not known him as my Savior, I probably would have been one of the two killed, or the other two in the back seat who has brain damage. No one can tell me he isn’t real, as I have tasted, and seen his love, mercy, and goodness. My brother only had nicks all over his back from the rear windshield breaking, and he was in shock, and he was only 9. My friend in the back seat was killed, and her uncle was the driver. He got sent to prison, two counts of manslaughter, dui, excessive speed, and failure to control. Will never forget it.

Mikevavelli, I am so very sorry for the damage to your faith and your heart throughout your life.
I, too, have made more than my fair share of mistakes, and to my deepest regret, I have spent times in open rejection of God's will and commandments.
NO one is perfect, except Jesus.
But as I enter the last years of my life, I am doing my poor best to be the Child of God that He has always wanted me to be.
If I can in anyway help you seek to find the Peace of God in your life, please reach out to me through private message and lets have a discussion. I would like few things better than to greet you in Heaven as a Brother, and I mean than sincerely.

And every good thing you did in your life will not be burned up at the Judgment seat of Christ. Did you honor your Mother and Father, did you help the poor, did you treat your neighbors well, did you return a person's wallet back to them even if it had $500 dollars in it? Just some examples.

I'm doing well for the first day of daylight savings time.
You're a good man, RandyBrian and I respect your faith with a touch of envy.
My catholic faith was damaged early on by aggressive pedophilic priests and the preponderance of gay men drawn to the seminary that I attended for about 2 weeks and left because I am not gay. The ritual is beautiful, but the corruption within is sin itself.
So, I've built my own church. I am pope of my life, which is, very good in health and happiness and lifestyle.
I see the power of nature and anthropomorphic climate change goes right out of contention.
Something is running it all, and it could be one God entity, but I am sure that God in his perfection, should there be a God, expects nothing of me good or bad. I live, I die, and it's the only bright space between the time before I was born and the time when I die.
A man dead for one second is as dead as a man dead for a thousand years.
The one consolation is that death is a concept of the living. Being dead is nothing.

"...One often hears it said that the Buddha was born, lived and died as a Hindu or that he tried to reform Hinduism or that Buddhism is just a sect of Hinduism. Before commenting on these claims some clarification is necessary. What today is called Hinduism is the result of centuries of evolution by numerous divergent spiritual movements within India. So varied and different are the various expressions of Hinduism that virtually the only factor they have in common is that they all originated in India, hence the name Hinduism which means 'the belief of Indians'....

...Many aspects of Buddhism were absorbed into Brahmanism which along with the incorporation of other cults and local beliefs, helped it to gradually evolve into Hinduism. By the 7th or 8th century AD Hindus come to consider the Buddha an emanation of their god Vishnu. At around the same time some Buddhists began to adopt Hindu rituals, magic and gods which led to the development of Tantric Buddhism. Although some strands of Tantra always remained firmly within Buddhism others became increasingly 'Hinduized'. For example, H.V. Guenther described the teachings of the Tantric adept Naropa as being "virtually indistinguishable from Brahmanism."

"Love God above all things, with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind." That's number 1. Matthew 22:37.

All your questions are being fulfilled in the second Commandment of God. Number 2. "Love they neighbor as thyself." When you love they neighbor or others, like you love yourself, you always want great things for them. You honor and respect them. You don't want wrong things happen to them. You always want them to be happy and great. You do no harm to them. Charity and help are always part of it. " Those who do to the least of thy neighbor, you do it for me." Matthew 25:40.

Matthew 22: 37-40
Jesus said, “‘Love the Lord your God with all your passion and prayer and intelligence.’ This is the most important, the first on any list. But there is a second to set alongside it: ‘Love others as well as you love yourself.’ These two commands are pegs; everything in God’s Law and the Prophets hangs from them.”
