God is not a saddest. He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to earth to be a witness for Him and a Savior for you and me. In the New Testament, Jesus tells us all about God and the place in Heaven He has made for His children. You can become a Child of God when you hear and accept the Gospel which is that Jesus took upon Himself all of our sins, past, present and future when He was nailed to the Cross. If you can accept that and believe in Jesus as your Savior, you will not burn in hell for eternity, but instead will go to Heaven and live with God and Jesus for eternity.

If you cannot accept and believe this Good News (Gospel), then you will live for eternity in Hell.

See you have a choice. It is you who will chose your eternal fate. God does not chose this for you. If you chose not to believe, than you are a masochist.

Sounds more like government than God.

First commandment “Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all your heart, soul, and mind”. God is a jealous God? He says thou shall not have any god’s before me. Je wants us to devote ourselves to him, he is to always be first place in our life.

That is the saddest part of the Catholic Church - that they don't allow priests to have relationships with women. That was one of the main reasons why I left it. It seemed odd to me, even at a fairly young age, that not allowing men to have relationships with women was not a good idea - that stifling the natural urges that men have towards women would cause big problems for them. That and the fact that they wanted me to go through man (priests and the Pope) to talk to God (i.e., telling God directly I am sorry that I sinned rather than telling a man in a small room behind a veiled wall I am sorry that I sinned). There are a few other reasons involving the nuns at the Catholic school I went to, but that's too long a story. 😐

It took me a few years to come back to Christ, but in spite of my doubts when a young Catholic, I missed Jesus. I missed talking to Him and having him beside me as I made my journey through the life He gave me.

I agree. I never have understood that rule either. I think it is wrong, and that why so many of them defile young boys. They should be allowed to marry.

I was in the seminary studying to become a catholic priest. For two weeks when I discovered that every priest teacher there was gay.
I decided to go to hell my own way and I dropped out.
My doubts about God haven't changed in 62 years.
I do however, admire the faith that others have.

It is sad that had happened, but don't look at what they did, just remember God called you to minister the gospel. Maybe it would have been better not in the Catholic church.
Don’t let that bitterness stop you from seeking him, he is waiting for you. God bless you, hope you find him once again, and never let go.

My thoughts on that is there is another being that fights for our souls besides God.

God gave us free will to either choose to follow Him or not. If we let God's enemy take our souls while we are alive, we end up living eternity in the enemy's world (hell) and not with God.

It is our choice.

And as Ziggy said above, we have many chances to change ourselves to align with God's laws before (and maybe even after) our death.

Don’t think so after death. I think it is too late then, mo one can pray you into heaven.

Yes. And it has been happening long enough for them to realize it's a mistake. Maybe in times past they were more monk-like, but things have drastically changed with today's priests exposed to everyday life and its people. Abusing innocent children is "safer" than abusing women for these men. The children don't understand what's happening to them.

The first time I heard about a priest abusing a child I wasn't all that surprised. They are human after all, and making them promise to forgo natural instinct was odd, I thought. And the more I kept hearing about it, the more it became impossible for me to be a Catholic... and, more importantly, their behavior was unacceptable to Jesus.

I did hear of quite a few priests leaving the Church and getting married. I thought that was kind of odd that the church would rather lose clergy than let them marry. But I didn't feel upset towards those men - they did the right thing.

The thing is, we can’t keep all of God’s commandments. So, He sent His son, Jesus, to fulfill all of God’s laws. Because Jesus is perfect and sinless, He was/is the perfect person to take our place and face God’s wrath for sinning against Him. He redeemed us when he died on the cross. While on the cross, he took upon himself all of our sins. If you believe in your heart that this is true, you will be saved from the Wrath of God which would be to live for eternity in Hell, and instead, will live for eternity in Heaven.

You have the choice to accept Jesus’ sacrifice in your place and ask Jesus to become you Redeemer/Savior and to be Lord over your life. Or - you can reject the free gift of salvation and suffer the consequences of eternity in Hell.

Don’t wait too long to make the right choice. No one knows when their last day of life will be. It could be today…..

There was a Priest that used to come on Fox morning news, and he left the priesthood, and got married. He was so sweet, and kind in explaining how he felt God wanted him to be married, to make him a helpmate. They should allow it, instead of ruining little boys lives.

I probably broke 9 of the Commandments throughout my life, many of them several times or more. Came close to completing all 10 one night, but he didn't die.

If you could out run the Monsignor, your little boy butt wouldn't have been ruined.

God knows each person's heart.....I feel sure their is a plan for those who honestly never had a chance to choose Jesus Christ in this life, but I can not describe what it will be.
It will not apply to you, though, so you need to worry about your personal choices before your last breathe.

I would imagine that if someone lived somewhere where Jesus was never mentioned in their whole lives and they knew nothing about Him, He would call them "innocent". Sort of like babies who have been murdered by abortion...they don't have a chance to choose Jesus either.

I believe that those who never had the chance to hear about him, would be spared from hell, but have also heard sermons that we are all born with knowing right from wrong as we get to the age of accountability, which is probably true too. Even as a young child, you know when you are not doing the right thing. We are all born with that void in our lives, and we try to satisfy it with the wrong things sometimes, like drugs, alcohol. Porn, whatever, but only Jesus can fill that void with his peace, and love. I do believe that those who are in countries that have not heard the word about him, will be spared, at least I hope so.
