Leftist comedian Bill Maher seemed to go off-script during a broadcast of his show Friday night when argued that liberals are useless Obama hacks without a shred of intellectual honesty.
Mr. Maher brought up the National Security Agency on his HBO show Real Time with Bill Maher, cited a Washington Post report that concluded nine out of 10 people spied on by the federal agency were ordinary citizens.
Many files, [the study] says, described as useless by the analysts had a startlingly intimate, even voyeuristic quality, Mr. Maher said. Stories of love and heartbreak, illicit sexual liaisons, mental health crises and disappointed hopes.
This is exactly what they said they werent going to do, he said. Just, you know, be nosy and look into the lives of private people. And I just want to say, if this were happening under Bush, liberals would be apoplectic. Im sorry, but liberals are just sometimes useless Obama hacks without a shred of intellectual honesty.
Democratic Rep. Donna Edwards jumped in and argued that she was indeed apoplectic over the surveillance, and that a liberal advocate was needed on the court that oversees NSA surveillance.
Liberal author Ron Suskind argued that government spying has greatly increased since President Obama took office and that Edward Snowden had provided the goods to make the case that is real.
The question now is what are we going to do about it? he asked, receiving applause.

Bill Maher is hard on liberals when they do or say stupid things, are hypocritical, or seem to forget the ideals they campaigned on.
I gladly admit to being one of those "useless Obama hacks" and a "pea-brained, pin-headed nitwit," as the Dutchman so nicely described me, and I would like to abandon Obama for a real liberal -- contrary to what a lot of the posters on this website think, he is a moderate conservative, as Bill Clinton was. But I certainly am not going to abandon him or the Democratic Party for the current batch of Republicans and their banana republic policies.
I'm from Minnesota, and a few decades ago, we had a Republican senator, Dave Durenberger, and a Republican governor, Arne Carlson, who were sensible and principled. I didn't vote for them, but I did respect them. They would be drummed out of today's Republican party in a heartbeat. That's sad.

Well, I can't get Fox News on my TV, so I guess by your standards, the answer would be no.
