The sculpture is disgusting. And once I read it was supposed to be MLK hugging his wife I wonder where the violent protests are? This is not only disgusting but despicable. The fact that it is disgusting does not stop it being protected by the 1st amendment, but should not be paid for by taxpayers. The fact that is is a slur on not only a race but specific people, is NOT protected by the 1st amendment. This promotes the steriotype of black males physical attributes. Having her holding it is a slur on Coretta as if MLKs penis was what she admired most. If I were her, I'd sue the artist and see if any criminal charges could be brought for racial discrimination.
