Some of us paid tuition out of own pockets. Seems to me that since you couldn't get into college, you will just hate on us who did get into college.

If you want to know difficult, try graduate school. Graduate students are not eligible for any tuition assistance.

I also went to college and took out loan and paid for it without any help from Gov... And my son is not in college... So why should we to pay somebody else's student loans??????

There are a lot of people who believe that a technical education is more needed than any other academic degree. We DO need more trades-people, like plumbers, steam fitters, construction and carpentry, seamstresses, electricians, and others. Generally speaking, trade students are not from the same families as academic students. They do apprentice work for their qualifications. Tech schools don't cost as much as academic schools.

Moving towards a future with a balanced workforce is good for society. Tech education is the only way to balance the workforce.

I'm happy that more students can follow their goals without racking up a ton of debt. Giving young people a chance to start their lives with something constructive will keep them out of trouble. It really comes down to, do you want to help carry students without an enormous debt load, or do you want to pay for private prisons that have no accountability?

I'm confused a bit it seems you are talking out of both sides of your mouth .

Your praising students taking trade schools , but it sounds like you are supporting wiping out loans that students took out for degrees that turned out to be worthless degrees !

Wiping the loans out will not do these kids any good all it'll do is condition them to ask for more down the road when they take out more loans that they can't pay back OOOOO we need our loans forgiven we made some bad decisions .

So it seems to me you are saying if these loans are wipe off these kids will end up in prison !!!!

We are living in a time of entitlement very few wants to be held responsible for their actions we are at a time where few really wants to work all one has to do is look at all the help wanted signs .

I've see over the years parents giving their kids everything without them having to work for it and sad to say that has hurt them far more than paying off the debt they made.
