Republicans won't fight back. They barely criticize the FBI, Wray, or Garland. They are interested in the high road, don't stoop to the level of democrats. Die with dignity rather than win using the same tactics against the determined foe.
Trump alone fights, and he's still standing in the arena while 4 Republicans cheer him on and the rest are more upset about Liz Cheney losing.
Garland knows how Republicans would react to a 30 man armed raid on a political opponent and so he did it; and he was right. No Republican backlash whatsoever. It's almost as if Romney is leading the party.

We grew up with the same type of dad. Don't lose a fight, kick the guy's schumer good. There's steak in the freezer for your black eye, but there's no teeth in the other sunnuvabich for him to eat his steak when it's done with his black eyes.
