OK... so here we have a privately operated residence near Berkeley called the "Person of Color Theme House" that "aims to provide housing to low-income, first generation, immigrant and marginalized students of color," according to its website.

In a leaked photo of "house rules" for the co-op, tenants are instructed not to bring White guests to the home without permission and to keep White guests from common areas.

"Many POC members moved here to be able to avoid white violence and presence, so respect their decision of avoidance if you bring white guests," the leaked house rules list states.

So... There are no quotes or sources in the article so, for all we know it could be a hoax. A leaked photo of a fake document isn't hard to do and Fox WILL air it, because according to the legal precedent that Fox fought for in the 90's "News doesn't have to be true."

But let's just say its true for argument's sake...

First of all, it's not a government policy. Nor is it a school policy. It's a private business. And a private business has the right to refuse service to anyone.

Secondly, it is decidedly NOT a leftist policy. There is absolutely no reason to associate these "house rules" with left-wing politics. None, whatsoever.

I think you're confused because you're so entrenched in identity politics, where being "left" isn't a matter of what you do but what side your on in this big idiot culture war.

Two errors in your response.

1. You are erroneously assuming Democrats are all leftists. You don't even know the difference, do you? Well there IS a difference. If you're stuck in a world of identity politics and labels you won't see it. But if you actually get around to understanding what these terms actually mean, you will. My hard line is about the left-wing politics not the Democratic Party. There's obviously an overlap but that doesn't make them the same.

2. I don't remember seeing ANY Democrat in public office encouraging, applauding or defending much less celebrating the vandalism and violence. Trust me, other's have brought this up before - this is a very common false accusation on right-wing media and my response is always the same... Show me. Some of you folks have tried because obviously there is an abundance of articles and memes perpetrating this lie. But every time it happens I go through the same process of methodically debunking the claim, which I have done every time.

I do understand what you're saying here, but it's still stereotyping... If you're going to pass judgement on an individual because of his/her behavior then sure, but you can't judge an entire demographic on the behavior of *some* if it's members. What you are doing here is making excuses for bigotry.


Behavior IS an action and no it doesn't "require" any set of laws to be "affirmed or transgressed". It's the laws themselves that decide whether or not behavior is appropriate. The behavior will happen whether those laws are there or not.


I think you're referring to nihilism. There are nihilists in the nonreligious quarters of both the left and the right. But I know that the Christian-Right in particular are hyper-focused on any element of God-denial on the left as being definitive when it really isn't. Atheists fall into this same category and yet they can also be found in the non-religious quarters of the right.

The "right" and "conservatives" are not the same thing. (Nor are they proper nouns so you don't have to capitalize them) Yes, There are probably more conservatives on the right than on the left but there are also conservatives on the left. Sorry, but this is the reality that comes out when you cast identity politics aside and look at things objectively.

Conservativism is about upholding the status quo and as your favorite girl, Hillary Clinton once said, the Democrats are becoming the conservative party. This is due to the fact that the progressive movement, which IS a leftist movement, has been changing America for over a century now. So when the right pushes to overturn progressive policies that have been in place for 70 years, such as workers rights, they are NOT being conservative.


1. the sanctity of human life: This is probably the most difficult topic possible and far more complex than you folks ever think. From my perspective, all you're side is doing is making it illegal which doesn't actually prevent abortions from happening, it just makes it more difficult to control it. I also find your side extremely hypocritical because you also justify a lot of policies that lead to the deaths of millions of people.

2. traditional marriage: I don't give a shit. My marriage was traditional because I fell in love with a beautiful woman and made her my wife. But if someone else wants to marry someone of the same sex, WTF business is it of mine? I don't care if you think this is some ordinance from God. If it is, let God deal with it. Stop trying to be His deputy - He doesn't need your help.

3. The nuclear family: I really don't see what this has to do with left-wing politics, the Democratic agenda or politics at all.

You have no idea how much I love that your default comment is to always doubt the truth of my posts. I mean you did zero home work. If you had, you would have found numerous articles on the topic.
