https://www.foxnews.com/us/white-people-banned-off-campus-uc-berkeley-student-housing-common-areas

OK... so here we have a privately operated residence near Berkeley called the "Person of Color Theme House" that "aims to provide housing to low-income, first generation, immigrant and marginalized students of color," according to its website.

In a leaked photo of "house rules" for the co-op, tenants are instructed not to bring White guests to the home without permission and to keep White guests from common areas.

"Many POC members moved here to be able to avoid white violence and presence, so respect their decision of avoidance if you bring white guests," the leaked house rules list states.

So... There are no quotes or sources in the article so, for all we know it could be a hoax. A leaked photo of a fake document isn't hard to do and Fox WILL air it, because according to the legal precedent that Fox fought for in the 90's "News doesn't have to be true."

But let's just say its true for argument's sake...

First of all, it's not a government policy. Nor is it a school policy. It's a private business. And a private business has the right to refuse service to anyone.

Secondly, it is decidedly NOT a leftist policy. There is absolutely no reason to associate these "house rules" with left-wing politics. None, whatsoever.

I think you're confused because you're so entrenched in identity politics, where being "left" isn't a matter of what you do but what side your on in this big idiot culture war.

Your hard line has some soft spots in it. The vandalism AND the violence was encouraged, applauded, defended, and celebrated by numerous Democrat officials, including Senators and Congressmen. And they did so far more strongly that Trump supposedly did on J6.

Two errors in your response.

1. You are erroneously assuming Democrats are all leftists. You don't even know the difference, do you? Well there IS a difference. If you're stuck in a world of identity politics and labels you won't see it. But if you actually get around to understanding what these terms actually mean, you will. My hard line is about the left-wing politics not the Democratic Party. There's obviously an overlap but that doesn't make them the same.

2. I don't remember seeing ANY Democrat in public office encouraging, applauding or defending much less celebrating the vandalism and violence. Trust me, other's have brought this up before - this is a very common false accusation on right-wing media and my response is always the same... Show me. Some of you folks have tried because obviously there is an abundance of articles and memes perpetrating this lie. But every time it happens I go through the same process of methodically debunking the claim, which I have done every time.

When you show some signs of intelligence, I'll respond.

Do you seriously consider yourself an arbitrator of intellect? My observation is that you confuse your arrogance with intellect. Yet that's only my personal observation & I've been wrong "once before on several different occasions."

You said, "Being on the left just means you don't judge anyone based on anything other than their actions." Being on the right means "one" of the judgments we make is based on behavior, good and bad.

OK, at least this post shows a little more thought. So, I'll take the time to respond...

I do understand what you're saying here, but it's still stereotyping... If you're going to pass judgement on an individual because of his/her behavior then sure, but you can't judge an entire demographic on the behavior of *some* if it's members. What you are doing here is making excuses for bigotry.

padremike wrote:

Actions & behavior require a set of moral laws or rules to be affirmed or transgressed.

Behavior IS an action and no it doesn't "require" any set of laws to be "affirmed or transgressed". It's the laws themselves that decide whether or not behavior is appropriate. The behavior will happen whether those laws are there or not.

padremike wrote:

The left, it seems to me, has adopted as their moral guide the laws of moral relativism which basically ascribes to the philosophy that the only moral absolute is that there are no moral absolutes, normally excluding violence, but not always.

I think you're referring to nihilism. There are nihilists in the nonreligious quarters of both the left and the right. But I know that the Christian-Right in particular are hyper-focused on any element of God-denial on the left as being definitive when it really isn't. Atheists fall into this same category and yet they can also be found in the non-religious quarters of the right.

padremike wrote:

Their 50 Shades of Gray philosophy allows the Left to be a magnet for non-traditional moral behaviors,

I quite agree.

padremike wrote:

I don't think it's so unreasonable to ask the public to stop persecuting other cultures.

padremike wrote:

then granting special (un) constitutional rights to insure their protection.

I see no evidence to indicate this is anything but a lie. Feel free to provide evidence to the contrary.

padremike wrote:

Now, we're presented with issues that the Right (Conservatives) cannot compromise.

The "right" and "conservatives" are not the same thing. (Nor are they proper nouns so you don't have to capitalize them) Yes, There are probably more conservatives on the right than on the left but there are also conservatives on the left. Sorry, but this is the reality that comes out when you cast identity politics aside and look at things objectively.

Conservativism is about upholding the status quo and as your favorite girl, Hillary Clinton once said, the Democrats are becoming the conservative party. This is due to the fact that the progressive movement, which IS a leftist movement, has been changing America for over a century now. So when the right pushes to overturn progressive policies that have been in place for 70 years, such as workers rights, they are NOT being conservative.

padremike wrote:

The Left has violated the sanctity of human life, traditional marriage and the nuclear family.

1. the sanctity of human life: This is probably the most difficult topic possible and far more complex than you folks ever think. From my perspective, all you're side is doing is making it illegal which doesn't actually prevent abortions from happening, it just makes it more difficult to control it. I also find your side extremely hypocritical because you also justify a lot of policies that lead to the deaths of millions of people.

2. traditional marriage: I don't give a shit. My marriage was traditional because I fell in love with a beautiful woman and made her my wife. But if someone else wants to marry someone of the same sex, WTF business is it of mine? I don't care if you think this is some ordinance from God. If it is, let God deal with it. Stop trying to be His deputy - He doesn't need your help.

3. The nuclear family: I really don't see what this has to do with left-wing politics, the Democratic agenda or politics at all.

What foundations do you think are being destroyed?

It doesn't take much to see the absence of intelligence in a post that is only there to insult someone. I said when I see signs of intelligence I will respond... and I did... I responded to the post that you actually put some thought into.

Not at all... the intellect is what allows me to locate the flaws and assumptions in your arguments and the arrogance is the effect that has on your emotions.

You have no idea how much I love that your default comment is to always doubt the truth of my posts. I mean you did zero home work. If you had, you would have found numerous articles on the topic. However, I never do what your side does. That is post something and then expect my detractors to busy themselves finding proof of what I posted. So any who here is another article on the subject matter.

" First of all, it's not a government policy. Nor is it a school policy. It's a private business. And a private business has the right to refuse service to anyone. "

Do you expect me to believe that if a White Supremacist did the exact same thing in reverse, that the Biden Administration, plus the California State government, which is run by the Democratic Party, would not open up a dumpster size can of whoop ass on them ?????????????????????????????????????

" Secondly, it is decidedly NOT a leftist policy. There is absolutely no reason to associate these "house rules" with left-wing politics. None, whatsoever. '

Denial is not just a river running through Egypt. It is a flood inside of your head.

Have you now? All you've done is claim you do not remember seeing it. But I do, and a lot of others do, so your 'debunking' is debunked by you own standards. As to my errors....you are in error. There is a difference between the left and the Democrats. Just not in this case. The Democrats have embraced the left's political agenda as a means to win elections. IMO.

If the people were attempting an insurrection there’d be no debate or wonder about it today. It would have been accomplished. Those who could truly carry off an insurrection were not there that day. The left ought be careful. They keep pushing the hot buttons and staunch conservatives will one day reach their limit. The left is drunk with power and too blind to see the derision they’re building with insane rhetoric. Push comes to shove I’ll proudly stand with the rednecks and the heartland.

I’ve made the same point. If trump really had a cult then millions would have been there and they would have easily succeeded in overthrowing the government. If you listen to the rhetoric it isn’t even logical. Yet these are the people who are so quick to call others stupid. Interesting isn’t it.

So it's not a cult unless there are millions?

Are you certain?

Make up your mind. His supporters are in a cult or they’re not. You people continuously claim they are. Are you now changing that so your remarks might be more logical?
