Perhaps the Russian central bank prints the money?
A death count ... an accurate and verifiable death count seems appropriate to offer the readers. Otherwise, it's another waste of attention time and electrons--kemmer's contribution to the human journey.

If and when it has a meltdown you’ll certainly hear of it, believe me. It will necessarily end the war as the Russians will beat it back to Russia to escape the massive radiation leaks. It’ll be worse than Chernobyl.
