I'll give this guy room to do the same. I've heard him speak. Regardless of his ideology, he could be a marked improvement over the office slug we have today.

Take time to read his campaign platform. There’s no difference. Same dog different color.

It will not be instant contender, if ever.

The last "offshoot" parties were tilted slightly right - The Reform Party of Ross Perot, The Libertarian Party and the Tea Party. Not to leave out the Far- Right American Independent Party of George Wallace and many others.

Politics is a money game. To win you must attract donors. To attract donors you must convince donors that you can win. Third Parties do not generally win much of anything. The best I can recall a third party doing was when Jesse Ventura of the Reform Party won as Governor of Minnesota. That was the high point of that party.

If the Reform Party could not build on that Governorship win, I doubt seriously this new third party will go very far. I think they may have a future as a spoiler party, drawing votes away from one of the major parties. Perot drew votes away from George H.W. Bush and Ralph Nader drew votes away from Al Gore.

Currently we are hard left and hard right, black and white if you will. We cling to our policy preferences in a semi religious fashion as if they are all life and death (abortion is).

We are willing to do whatever it takes to win so that we may impose our will on the other side with the force of law.

I get peoples convictions. I have a few of them too.

It’s that fervor that prevents us from reaching reasonable compromise on the important issues. The result is either nothing gets done or we flip flop with regime change.

Rational compromise must be made to achieve meaningful, lasting legislation on key issues.

I realize Andrew Yang ran in 2020 on a socialist lite platform. Again I’ll be patient and listen to what this group has to say and what the leadership looks like. Also I want to observe what, if anything they get done.

As someone stated, none of the offshoot parties have enjoyed any outright success. They all have had a significant policy influence on their parent. I think most dramatic was the Tea Party.

We have to start somewhere to move beyond the incessant bickering of today’s parochial environment. I am part of the problem. I will not rollover but I will make compromise.

There is a thin line between compromise and capitulation! 🤷🏻‍♀️

No doubt the "Forward Party's" main goal is going back to hiding the agenda they are foisting on the American people. The Democrat/Communist Party is way too blatant in showing their true left-wing/socialist/communist objectives, the American people are noticing their radicalism, and voicing their displeasure. The Spineless/Republican Party is tired of having to explain WHY they do nothing while the country is being destroyed. And after all what do their constituents expect?...them to live up to their principles. To the rescue--Forward Party, who will concentrate on voters never finding out what politicians are scheming.

Seems likely. There’s not much honesty in politics anymore, it’s kinda like an exclusive club for playboys.

I’m not convinced there ever was honesty in politics. I think it’s just easier now for us to recognize it with the over abundance of media and different forms of media.

I tend to agree. But also the left is blatant about their power grab. They think they can do so much damage...it can't be fixed.

It’s because they’ve been allowed to get away withvso much with very little if any resistance.

As the Republicans stand around, staring at their toes, hoping nobody asked them "what are y'all gonna do about this?"

The only thing the Rs do are sound bites in the evening news. Useless group of self serving arrogant pricks.
