Extreme BS!!!!! Before making these idiotic statements, mildewy, make sure you can back them up with facts. Or, STFU!!!!
What do you think of Trump's former NSC adviser Fiona Hill saying that everyone knew that "Trump never paid attention to briefs" and Erdogan and Putin would realize on calls that often Trump "had no idea what they were talking about"?
David W. Rudlin
Everyone knew this.
We’ve heard from multiple generals, National Security briefers, staffers and other experts that he was virtually impossible to brief.
They tried shortening complex issues to 10 Powerpoint slides.
They tried using lots of pictures.
They tried putting his name on every chart, as that was the one thing that always got his attention.
Part of the problem was that he simply doesn’t care.
Another part is his massive — and massively fragile — ego. If someone is briefing him, that means that person knows something that Donald does not. And since nobody knows more about (insert list here) than Donald J. Trump, no briefer is needed.
There have been many, many reports that trump would sit silently for a little while, and then launch into lengthy tirades about whatever was bothering his tiny mind at the moment.
As a result, he walked into critical meetings like the Helsinki Surrender Summit with absolutely no idea of what the issues are, what the other side was likely to push for, why we haven’t given them what we want, where might our interests coincide, etc. etc. etc.
Of course, that same fragile ego couldn’t possibly admit to another world leader he hadn’t a clue what that guy was talking about. So he’d try to cover his ignorance the same way he did in briefings: by talking so much the other guy couldn’t get a word in.
It got so bad that China’s President Xi called the Prime Minister of Japan (they are NOT friends) to ask him how to handle trump. Not “oh, he is so strong and forceful I fear defeat.” It was “I’ve got no effin’ idea what’s he’s going on about. Do you?”
It’s the same psychological infirmity that brought us such hits as Inject Bleach and Dog v. Canine.
And it’s the logic behind Chopper Talk. A presidential chopper in the background is a good visual, but more important, it let trump pretend not to hear questions he was unable to answer, and walk away when he was feeling overwhelmed and worried his ignorance was showing.
All of these people who are now trying to make a buck off revealing what a dangerous ignoramus we had in the Oval Office for four years would have served their country far better if they’d gone public while it was happening.
Fiona Hill was one of very, very few people with the guts to do that.
