To those who might have known some of the people whose names appear on the Wall.
A little history most people will never know.

Interesting Veterans Statistics off the Vietnam Memorial Wall.

There are 58,267 names now listed on that polished black wall, including those added in 2010.

The names are arranged in the order in which they were taken from us by date and within each date, the names are alphabetized. It is hard to believe it is 36 years since the last casualties.

The first known casualty was Richard B. Fitzgibbon, of North Weymouth, Mass. Listed by the U.S. Department of Defense as having been killed on June 8, 1956. His name is listed on the Wall with that of his son, Marine Corps Lance Cpl. Richard B. Fitzgibbon III, who was killed on Sept. 7, 1965.

There are three sets of fathers and sons on the Wall.

39,996 on the Wall were just 22 or younger.

8,283 were just 19 years old.

The largest age group, 33,103 were 18 years old.
12 soldiers on the Wall were 17 years old.

5 soldiers on the Wall were 16 years old.

One soldier, PFC Dan Bullock was 15 years old.

997 soldiers were killed on their first day in Vietnam ..

1,448 soldiers were killed on their last day in Vietnam ..

31 sets of brothers are on the Wall.

Thirty-one sets of parents lost two of their sons.

54 soldiers attended Thomas Edison High School in Philadelphia. I wonder why so many from one school.

8 Women are on the Wall. Nursing the wounded.

244 soldiers were awarded the Medal of Honor during the Vietnam War; 153 of them are on the Wall.

Beallsville, Ohio with a population of 475 lost 6 of her sons.

West Virginia had the highest casualty rate per capita in the nation. There are 711 West Virginians on the Wall.

The Marines of Morenci - They led some of the scrappiest high school football and basketball teams that the little Arizona copper town of Morenci (pop. 5,058) had ever known and cheered. They enjoyed roaring beer busts. In quieter moments, they rode horses along the Coronado Trail, stalked deer in the Apache National Forest. And in the patriotic camaraderie typical of Morenci's mining families, the nine graduates of Morenci High enlisted as a group in the Marine Corps. Their service began on Independence Day, 1966. Only 3 returned home.

The Buddies of Midvale - LeRoy Tafoya, Jimmy Martinez, Tom Gonzales were all boyhood friends and lived on three consecutive streets in Midvale, Utah on Fifth, Sixth, and Seventh avenues. They lived only a few yards apart. They played ball at the adjacent sandlot ball field. And they all went to Vietnam. In a span of 16 dark days in late 1967, all three would be killed. LeRoy was killed on Wednesday, Nov. 22, the fourth anniversary of John F. Kennedy's assassination. Jimmy died less than 24 hours later on Thanksgiving Day. Tom was shot dead assaulting the enemy on Dec. 7, Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day.

The most casualty deaths for a single day were on January 31, 1968, ~ 245 deaths.

The most casualty deaths for a single month was May 1968 - 2,415 casualties were incurred.

For most Americans who read this, they will only see the numbers that the Vietnam War created. To those of us who survived the war, and to the families of those who did not, we see the faces, we feel the pain that these numbers created. We are, until we too pass away, haunted with these numbers, because they were our friends, fathers, husbands, wives, sons, and daughters. There are no noble wars, just noble warriors.

PS. These are the stats of a Democrat-run war that had zero plans on how to win. If you look around today you should see the same events building that will lead to the same thing BUT A LOT WORST!
GOD HELP US.

For a Democrat Run War there seems to be a lot of Dems who died.
For Democrat Run War there seems to be a lot of Military Industrial Complex republicans who have made zillions from these Democrat Run Wars.
Republicans on the Wall are few and far between . The Republican daddy’s got their precious little darlings out of harms way.
Even people like trump developed strange maladies to get out of harms way.
Corporal Bonespurs was busy on the home front….grabbing pussies !
The Dems again ….
Always falling for the lie that they have something to protect.
Who made all the money from the
VietNam War ? The Democrats ?????
The unfortunate who came home bloody bruised , maimed and disfigured are still fighting to this day for compensation for their sacrifices. The republicans alone have turned a blind eye to this.
The Dems and the most outspoken one for Veterans Benefits, Bernie Sanders .
Have not forgotten and continue to pass bills for veterans that the republicans always Vote Nein ! Nein ! Nein ! Nein ! Nein ! Nein !
No veteran benefits for youz.!!!!
Keep Up The Great Pro American Work.

Our great pres. Johnson was proud of his micro managing the Vietnam conflict and made the brag that the U.S. Air force couldn't bomb an outhouse without his permission . Think that bullship didn't cost a lot of lives ?

If you look at all the wars we have been in the Democrats started them. WW1 Wilson "D", WW2 FRD "D". Korea Truman "D". Vietnam JFK and LBJ "D". The Republicans made the equipment to try to win these events.
That may be good or bad.

Your not that bright I see.

Actually, up until Korea, it was CONGRESS who declared war and they were "initiated" by an enemy attack (Spanish American War is debatable).

Thank you Capt Jack, I'll never forget nor forgive the welcome our brothers received who did make it home from Vietnam. I was fortunate in that both of my brothers who enlisted were sent elsewhere and safely returned home. Not so for my sister fiance.

The ones who loan money for wars to both sides of a conflict are the ones who stand to make money from it whether it is a short war or a long one, the "long one" being preferable. Start with the "money changing" bankers and trace the money trail to the industrialist and their politicians and you will see that the words "Democrat" and "Republican" have lost their meaning. Any analogy for the purpose of the blame on either party is a wasteful effort to assign guilt
The only "party" in Washington is the "CFR in Manhattan, New York" and the "Bilderbergers of London Square, England, and the U.K."

The wars were started before the Dems took office. Eisenhower had Advisors in VietNam. This was when he warned about the MIC.
Johnson was there, along with a heaping pile of Republicans.
Johnson as a matter of fact, was the second one on the beach behind the Marines with Red Horse Paving Company This was Lady Bird Johnson’s Enterprise.
But , it wasnt Johnson’s idea. The republicans were only waiting for a foolish dem to pin it all on. They found out Johnson was way far ahead of them.

How much brighter are you now?

Here’s your evidence. Most of those on the wall were black or Hispanic.
Not republicans. The republicans never believed they should fight in wars, because they were special. Like trumpy.
As it goes they were from the working classes, not republicans.
There were some, from OTC war colleges. General not as a rule to fight in wars.

That’s right, folks — the one, the only, the Original New Hampshire Gazette Chickenhawk Database is coming back! And, this being America, it will be bigger and better than ever.

To make sure it’s up and running right on the big day, we’re planning to throw the switch several days before the 11th; perhaps some time next week.

Please don’t bombard us with requests, suggestions, or nominations — not yet. There will be plenty of time for that once it’s up and running.

But do look around your local landscape. No need to kick any asses — but do take names. Make a list of chickenhawks who have so far escaped the nation’s attention. And when you write down a name on that list, find a birthdate to go with it.

Also, sadly, we’ve lost touch with the person who designed the lovely logo shown above. That was several computers ago, and it’s a tough digital life. If its creator should happen to discover this post, would you please get in touch? We’d like to give you credit, and we suspect you’ve got a more pristine version of the file somewhere.
Categories Chickenhawks
Chickenhawks were the ones who started the wars snd then escaped serving in them.
All republicans.
I’m still looking for the database.
To see it , you would be amazed,
