I by no means defend shoplifting. I offered my thoughts and prayers to the victims. If it works and is what we need to address mass shootings why doesn’t it work for shoplifting? Gun violence is a far more serious problem than shoes being stolen from Walmart which is simply a distraction.

Gun violence? You mean people violence. And there are already laws addressing that.

Shoes stolen from Walmart - next: someone mugged in a parking lot - next: armed robbery at a liquor store - next: citizen slain by robber. Usual pattern - so yes, shoes being stolen from Walmart is a serious issue.
