Woody is that profoundly ignorant you speak of. If the tax code is honestly followed and wisely followed taxes aren't a moral issue, they are a legal issue. Envy is the last refuge of the stupid, and other losers. Since when is right and wrong up to the most low level envious?

Tax pegw more. She's hiding a lot of money the Biden crime family wants. Envy should not be free.

An "increase" in the taxes on profits does not force companies to lay anyone off, because less profits does not have anything to do with their expenses and costs of doing business.

And you think it's right that companies that make billions in profits should pay no taxes?

Have you heard of return on investment? Companies make decisions based on ROI. They either increase prices or cut cost or both to achieve the desired ROI. Do you have money in the market? Are you looking for a certain return on your investment? What do you do if youโ€™re losing money in the market? Do you keep it invested in the same companies that are losing your money? Should all companies be run based on a net zero profit basis?
Companies donโ€™t pay taxes. Consumers pay taxes.

Letโ€™s take your comment one step further. Do you have the same attitude toward universities and colleges?

Yes, that's the solution for the truly feeble minded...like Biden. It won't cost a thing right Joe.
I'll try to explain to those who have an IQ just slightly higher than a squirrel.

Suppose our wonderful government increases the tax load on bread makers. Many Americans eat bread so it should be a windfall, right? The "little guy" won't have to pay. Wrong!
Seeing as this is a free country and there is more than one bread maker there is competition, to include price. To keep prices competitive margins, (profits) are minimal, just enough to satisfy investors and bankers and put a little away for equipment replacement.
So these new taxes raise the cost of making that bread by 10%. The baker can't pay it so must raises prices. So who pays? The consumer that buys bread.-YOU.
The same principles apply to more expensive items like cars or anything else you buy. Everything else you buy-just watch.
If you don't understand this get your many back from public schools. They didn't teach you much.
So now who's the dummy?
Yes, that's the solution for the truly feeble mind... (show quote)

Profoundly ignorant is correct. Lets ask someone who has owned several business, the last in Virginia. ME. I also have a degree in Business. Taxes have a great deal to do with operating expenses.
Leaving income taxes out the City gets a cut of the first penny that comes in, profit irrelevant- Gross Receipts Tax.
You also pay EVERY year on any equipment or tools you own- Tools and Machinery Tax. I was still paying an annual tax on a screwdriver purchased in 1944.
You pay every year on the service vehicle you already paid sales tax on- Excise Tax. Registration fees.
After all that and much, more you may or may not make a profit- Then get taxed on that.

You can tell easily who has owned and operated a business. You can tell who has been properly educated. You can tell who the fools are. ...From these pages
