[quote=kattmanduu]This should be done by every religious institution. We should be equal opportunity. A restaurant or 2 right next door to a synagogue, 1 is called the Rump Roastery and the other is the Bottom Round House, and a nice strip/social club called Lou's 24/7 Lapdanceeria across the street from a Lutheran church that is allowed to be open 24 hours a day, we will put Tyrone's Tower of Twerk across from the Baptist church.
Sin taxes should end or greed and hate should be taxed like tobacco and alcohol and at the same rate. "Blue Laws" are totally unconstitutional because that is the government or the state supporting religion.
Intolerance happens when religion is allowed to gain some control of the government. Did you know that the almost 20 million Jewish folks that choose to live in Iran have equal rights with everyone else there? But the Palestinians who live in israel are treated like dirt, the cur dogs there are given more rights and better treatment. And our government supports that intolerance by giving israel weapons to facilitate
Quote:
israel's genocide of the Palestinians and most other non-jewish peoples in the region.

You have to be kidding right??? How many times has Israel killed or used weapons on Palestinian people without being first provocted? (And I use the word "Palestinian" with some hesitation) Since they are really Jordanians, using Palestine to war with Israel. The Jews are and have been the most persecuted people on the planet and yet you and others ,continue the anti semitism that the bible calls us not to do. But your whole statement here tells all of us, your a heathen ,incapable of knowing there's a God that put all of this world we live on, in a perfect place in the vast solar system so that you might be able to survive. Amazing that you still don't get it !!!

I can agree that our Constitution should be the anchor for all of our laws. No religion should be given special favor or treatment within our laws. Making laws that support the belief or teachings of any religion is against the 1st amendment of the Constitution where is says the state shall not support religion, any religion. If you want to follow a particular religion it is your right as is it mine, but you and I don't have a right to mandate any of the beliefs or morals of our religions on all. That also applies to all of these religious morals based laws people want passed, anti birth control, same sex marriages, abortions, marijuana and the like. They also violate our freedom of choice. This needs to be applied at the federal level in a uniform manner, in accordance with the Constitution and apply in every state equally.
Election laws, ballots and processes should also be uniform for all the states.
Christian law is no better than islamic or jewish law.
If you need laws that mandate your religious beliefs so you will follow them maybe you need to find a new religion that is easier for you to follow.

Religions that call for the defeat of our religious rights through Sharia law has absolutely no first amendment rights in this country.

John Jay from Federalist 2

"Providence has been pleased to give this one connected country to one united people -- a people descended from the same ancestors, speaking the same language, professing the same religion, attached to the same principles of government, very similar in their manners and customs, and who, by their joint counsels, arms, and efforts, fighting side by side throughout a long and bloody war, have nobly established general liberty and independence."

Because some religions promote illegal acts, like beheadings and such. NOBODY should be sanctioning enabling them.

That should apply to the catholic church too, they cut off enough heads in their nice little inquisitions to make a muslim jealous, not to mention how many people they burned at the stake for saying the earth was round and other assorted crimes against the church or the pope. I think they should be made to share facilities and pay taxes for all that nastiness they have done.
I will also say that religion will be the downfall of humanity because they are all guilty if intolerance.

Their profit sanctioned and promoted lack of tolerance and hate in many forms. They justify and proliferate cruelty beyond imagination. Horrible traits
most western minds can not conceive. 34 years ago was my first contact
with this ideology and in very short order realized how potentially dangerous it was for any other culture tolerant enough to look the other way. In other words, tolerate the vast differences. That's becoming a near impossible task now that they are spreading their mental illness across the globe. I've said this before and your reply was typical. Though you welcome them to your neighborhood, I don't. I have seen first hand what happens when they get a toe hold and not only do I not want them as my immediate neighbors, I do not want them in our country. They will not assimilate. Look at Europe and Africa.
They can not clean and straighten their own house and until they do, keep your fences up. Ignorance is no excuse. The warning signs have been posted and done so by their own hand. Yet you that believe in blind tolerance and acceptance continue to swallow the lies. But hey, your not alone. For survival purposes Sheeple should group together while these wolves circle. Oh wait, they are. In blue states.
Because Brian. Islam is unlike any other religion ... (show quote)

I'm sorry, but I don't believe you understand that some religions don't pass the smell test of "religion". Most religions I have no problem with, but any religion that in this day and age tolerates mass murder is NOT a religion- it is a cult, and no one is required to support a cult. I don't even have a problem with cults as long as they aren't trying to kill me or mine. I don't have a problem with ANY religion UNLESS IT IS KNOWN TO MURDER, then I have a serious problem with it because it isn't really a religion. Any religion or any person who calls for, allows, or condones the death of an innocent life has no place in America......that would be the US Senate, President Obama, and Sharia law.
