There never was a Palestinian culture, society, country or government. Prior to 1921, there were no such people as Palestinians. The Palestinians as we know them today are the result of Europeans promoting nationalism among the various Arab people. The Palestinians are a political construct, not a homogeneous people with a history.
The Kingdom of Israel and Judea was established in Jerusalem 16 centuries before the birth of the Islamic prophet. IOW, there were no Muslims anywhere on the planet before Mohammed had his revelations. Six years later, in 628AD, a Muslim army conquered Jerusalem. This was the first of three Islamizations of Jerusalem. Following the third Islamization of Jerusalem, Muslims took over the Temple Mount.
