I was talking to a businessman on the phone yesterday who is somewhat knowledgeable about politics. I told him I blog daily, always politics, always from the conservative viewpoint. He asked me if I had ever changed anyone's thinking. It made me sad to say, "not to my knowledge". I should see that as a personal failure, but I don't - one cannot teach the unteachable. One cannot teach one who refuses to think. One cannot teach one who is a stranger to logic and reason. What we must overcome is DECADES of professional dumbing down of our entire society, not to mention decades of cradle to grave care given in return for votes. So very many have no desire to learn anything.

Don't know about you, but I talked myself silly before the last election, trying to get Republicans to NOT vote for the lesser of two evils, but to vote for the BEST candidate, who happened to be Gary Johnson of NM. They all told me that would be throwing away their vote and the election was too important to waste their vote that way. I pleaded with people to vote their OWN principles, forget party, forget candidate - vote for their own principles - yet most voted for the lesser of two evils ............. and lost.

I'm not in favor of forming yet another Party. Tasine, if you want to change things start at the precinct level with like minded individuals helping you. Take over your County Republican Executive Committee and run the kind of folks you want in office on the local and county levels. You have ato raise lots of money and find viable candidates. It's hard, but that's how the Marxist took over the democrat party. If you want information how to get started contact me by private message on this site and I will provide you with sources to get started. on I think conservatives should decide on either the Libertarian Party or the Constitutional Party, and if the two could be coalesced, we could beat ANYBODY in the socialist party - as long as we carefully guarded every ballot box in the nation to prevent its being repeatedly raped, then monitor EVERY count in every county in every state, every re-count. We aren't just opposing another "Party" - we are opposing every living creature within the Socialist Party, especially those who don't know diddly about ANY Party. Our ballot box is so terminally tainted that I will never again trust it. Low turnout supporting Romney, the establishment candidate, cheating in some areas of the country by corrupt democrats, and the fact that we got out hustled by democrats doing what I suggested above is what beat us. There are probably reasons that can be added to the list too.

We need to do exactly what the Democrats do. Oh quit howling before you read the rest.

As an example of an issue, here is one. My state passed a law that a major attempt was made to stop with a referendum process. It turned out a VERY large number of citizens who wanted the referendum could not sign the petition for a referendum. Take a guess why. Ding..ding...for a trip to Disney World, did you guess correctly? They were not registered to vote. Every single person we could not allow sign the petition stated they were Republican/Conservative/Libertarian/Independent and NOT registered to vote. We MUST MUST MUST push for voter registration of like minded individuals. On election days, we MUST MUST MUST turn out the vote. Not only turn out on Election Day but quit sitting home because it is raining. REALLY, is your hair or your shoes or whatever so VERY delicate you cannot take your trifling tush to the polls? I have yet to hear of a single human who dissolved from rain hitting their hair, clothing, etc. They keep winning, because they VOTE rain, sleet or snow.

Tasine -- I'd be more than happy to take it back. Tell me what to do besides what I already do that will get it back for me. And if you say "ballot box", I'll scream out loud. Until we can wean conservatives away from the Republican Party, we are doomed to a one party system. The R. Party abandoned conservatives a long time ago - it took me years to see it, but once I saw it, I registered as a Libertarian. I vote for individual freedoms, nothing more, nothing less.

We need to get it through our heads that any plan, or hope of a plan, which relies on any "election" is doomed. It should be clear by now that the election process has been hijacked and our vote means nothing. I skip any blog post as soon as I see words like "the 2014 election", etc. The poster obviously has nothing to say in the way of a workable solution.
