Either keep Medicaid or keep a Medigap plan G

I have been told one or the other.
Does anyone have issues, or surprise charges with Medicaid?
Or do I keep paying $125.00 for Plan G.
Any advice would help.

Sorry, I can't help. I won't be navigating those waters for another year-and-a-half.

I think Medicad varries from state to state. AARP may be of help. Or, try your local senior center.

Obviously you are ignorant on this.
They automatically kick in at age 65, for those who have paid Social Security out of their pay roll for 40 years, and those who work for a living.

er: not quite. Medicare Part A kicks in at 65 IF YOU SIGN UP FOR IT THREE MONTHS IN ADVANCE; Part B you pay for. Plan G is Medigap via AARP (and you pay for it). Medicaid is means-tested and doesn't cover everything (which is why you also need the Medigap if you can scrape the money together).

And any way you look at it it's a social program, Republicans don't like social programs
