Durbin said it was part of the Constitution and was necessary. Of course, that was before the Democrats controlled everything including the Supreme Court. I still cannot believe that all Democrats are evil socialists.

The other thing that makes no sense is how one senator can take a bill off the table...one senator screws up the hard work of a number of senators and their staff put into crafting legislation

When the electorate is at or near a 50/50 split the congress has a clear mandate to accomplish nothing.

HR 1 bill, 90% of the provisions ensure that the democrats win the election every year. When that happens, no republican party could win. But democrats for a lifetime.
