Other than the fact that they receive significantly higher pay after all dues, better benefits, due process i protection from unjust termination better retirement plans and pensions.

So which is it? Government control or union extortion?
It won't be both in the end.
Unions are needed where government is liberal, non restrictive.
Once the government controls all, Unions will be redundant and unnecessary.
