It was the influence of the unions that brought about the labor laws. Are you aware of the problems with the quick food industry? These people are striking not just to have fun. I remember my own father having to go on strike for ANY improvement in working conditions! How do you think OSHA came about - or do you even know what that means!

Wrong. Union membership was on the decline right after WW II, mostly due to overreach. Taft-Hartley was the end result although Truman vetoed it once but veto was overridden.

I gather you mean he was finished with the middle class, don't you? I agree. He had to get rid of the unions so that large corporations could regain all the power they had originally.
There was a period where unions overstepped themselves but without them, workers had no unity and no power. The people have no power unless they join together. That is the purpose of unions.

This nation has always had many differrnt classes. It's communism that has only two classes. The haves the have nots. No middle class. Oh and unions are not the middle clasd
