Bear with me as I want to get to what we do wrong. Let us take welfare we ask for more funds WHY?? What are they going to do with the funds, when will they do it and what are the expected results!! Who would be getting this information and what are they going to do with it? Isn’t this called management and accountability?? Sending additional funds to a department who isn’t managing their funds sound stupid to me. Anther example I get all the time. “I’ve been targeted by democrats, send what you can to help me fight them”. So they get 2 or 3 million dollars to do what? What is the plan what does it cost and how it’s expected to protect what position. It is easy to spend someone else’s dollars until you have to account for them. In business if a program is not working, you stop spending funds in that direction change the program and continue to mintier the results.

This leads me to the next important thing we need to do. Pass a law to participate in any government program you must be a citizen. We would immediately eliminate millions on social security and welfare. We can provide opportunities and not early retirement. It would probably stop the caravans when we cut off the freebies

Take care of our citizens always first!!!

The immigration laws are there just not enforced.. illegals can not get social services supposedly but certain changes have allowed for food stamps if the illegal is a lawful individual...You then have to consider if they are lawfully here on a green card or how many years have they been here, 5 and 10 years have relevance etc...

I agree we should take care of our own FIRST!!! We should not have one child or elderly starving!! We should not now or EVER have our soldiers without a home or food or anything else they need... I mean never!!!!

We should not have homeless, mentally ill people barely surviving, being attacked or dehumanized... Not every homeless person is bad but rather conditions that created it..
Yes, Sir, not one American left to flounder in a society that often enough creates the condition.. Like this virus, people out of work ready to lose their homes or vehicles no food, etc.. Before that the housing bubble, before that whatever ~~

Agreed! Welfare should be privatized and on a payback pay it forward program! 6 months to a year, get job training and when u get back to work u pay it back on a percentage like social security! Then they use that pool of money to help someone else! Control the program, no exceptions!

First of all let me be clear that I believe in transparency and accountability everywhere in government.
*Where were you on accountability for how ICE and Homeland security spends money on prison and detainment programs? It was run in secrecy under trump.
*How about the military, that has not been held accountable for the transparency and receipts it is required by law to provide?
*Mnuchin was somehow under the impression that his job description involved handing out billions of dollars to whatever business and people he wanted without having to say where it was going.

Government is about transparency and people having every right to see and know how their money is being spent...and the president that as a policy tries to tell agencies to hide what they are doing needs to be removed from office.

Federal agencies need to be brought to account first, you can't ask citizens to bear the burden of accountability when agencies are not. The DoD has yet to implement the items recommended from their ( finally ) completed audit, worth 100's of billions in savings to the taxpayer......................... we increased their budget every year anyway.

We agree in principal. If Trump didn't have to spend so much time or phony Russian Collusion and a phony impeachment, he might have gotten to some of that. These things were going on for a damn long time and he could only do so much. Hell, every damn Executive Order to resolve a real problem was met by lawsuits by Democrats to obstruct him. And then there were all of the entrenched bureaucrats in D. C.
