"All of us here today do not want to see our election victory stolen by emboldened radical-left Democrats, which is what they’re doing. And stolen by the fake news media. That’s what they’ve done and what they’re doing. We will never give up, we will never concede. It doesn’t happen. You don’t concede when there’s theft involved.
"Our country has had enough. We will not take it anymore and that’s what this is all about. And to use a favorite term that all of you people really came up with: We will stop the steal. Today I will lay out just some of the evidence proving that we won this election and we won it by a landslide." no proof was given but a lot of talk about democrats stealing the election"
"For years, Democrats have gotten away with election fraud and weak Republicans, and that’s what they are. There’s so many weak Republicans. "
"Now it is up to Congress to confront this egregious assault on our democracy. After this, we’re going to walk down and I’ll be there with you. We’re going to walk down. We’re going to walk down any one you want, but I think right here. We’re going walk down to the Capitol, and we’re going to cheer on our brave senators, and congressmen and women. We’re probably not going to be cheering so much for some of them because you’ll never take back our country with weakness. You have to show strength, and you have to be strong."
"So we’re going to, we’re going to walk down Pennsylvania Avenue, I love Pennsylvania Avenue, and we’re going to the Capitol and we’re going to try and give … The Democrats are hopeless. They’re never voting for anything, not even one vote. But we’re going to try and give our Republicans, the weak ones, because the strong ones don’t need any of our help, we’re going to try and give them the kind of pride and boldness that they need to take back our country."
Was some of his last words.the walk peacefully was close to the beginning of his speech then he railed and railed about how the election was stole and pretty much anything else bad. but you remember that one line from the beginning. Well the crowd didn't remember and they did what he told them, tried to stop the counting of electoral votes, a clear act of sedition brought on by the words of their cult leader.

Thank you for posting that.
I agree with you.
But even _without_ that speech, there have already been death threats and pipe bombs and white powder mailed (one to Fauci) and plots to kidnap, against people regarded as opponents to Trump, during the past four years. Trump reviles people, then Trump followers threaten or commit violent acts toward those people Trump has identified.
And then came the time of the 2020 election: Trump was ready and willing to cast doubt, nay, to completely discredit, to revile, to encourage violence against, the entire election system, the entire government, and the process of peaceful transfer of power, if that's what it took to overturn the election so he could stay in power and retain what presidential immunity there is.
Trump and his followers disrespect Congress (as seen on Jan. 6) and disrespect the entire U.S. judicial system (because Trump lost his attempted "cases" in courts) (he and his followers _still_ don't accept what the judges and justices say -- anywhere Trump loses, they automatically side with him and against the judge or justices). That leaves one more Branch of the U.S. government for them to respect: the Executive Branch. But, within the Executive Branch, Trump fires anyone who has the spine to tell Trump some truth that doesn't match whatever lie he favors.
So, Trump (and his followers) disrespect almost the entire Executive Branch (even including the Vice President). The only part of the Executive Branch that Trump and his followers respect is one person: Donald Trump.
That's all three Branches of the U.S. Government, excepting the one person, Trump.
These Trump supporters, including many in each house of Congress, are willing to sacrifice the entire U.S. government, to support a Dictatorship: They would prefer Trump in charge over all; with respect toward nobody but him; and with the threat of violence, and even violence itself, against whomever dares to speak out against that Dictator.
That mob almost took congresspeople hostage -- remember the zip-tie guy? Now they've had their practice session, obviously thinking they were supported in it by Trump. They've said they'll be back. If Trump retains his freedom, his ability to raise money, and his ability to fire up crowds, then they probably will be back, and worse every time they come back.
For those who either don't know what our government is for, or don't care what it is for, a Dictatorship will serve as well. They'll _call_ it a Democracy or a Republic, but they might as well have kept a kingship as in the time of King George III of England. The American Revolution and the Declaration of Independence of 1776 are lost on Trump supporters. They call themselves patriots and wave the flag but they don't know why we shouldn't just have a dictatorship. All they need is a dictatorship that they can call a democratic republic because those are the words they've been taught to say.
The insurrection failed this time, and Trump is considering forming a new political party. He should call it the Trump Party and its motto should be "Me First" where Me is Trump. It could also have the motto "**** You" where **** is a harsh expletive and the meaning is to disrespect everybody except Trump. There would be Government By Trump, For Trump, and Over Everybody Else.
