Sorry, that's just not true.

Wrong. The graph is from John Hopkins U.

Let’s be honest. Democrats are fighting against a Republican voter suppression system; a crime against democracy.

This one just happens to be called “voter ID” but others are called gerrymandering, one ballot collection place per county, over-purging voter rolls, refusing to issue voter registrations or all together they are known as the Red State Initiative (or among participants it is called “ratf*cking”).

It is a criminal conspiracy to put a minority party in control of the country, by anti-democratic techniques. Voter ID is just part of it.

But, since you mentioned it, which should be harder? Getting a voter ID or a gun carry permit? A voter ID or a US Passport?

What problem does voter ID solve? For instance, how many confirmed, in-person voter frauds were there in the last decade? Out of how many votes?

Everyone knows what the Republican voter ID is and there is no need to pretend or justify it as anything but a naked attack on democracy. The GOP can’t win a fair fight.
This is so obvious both in blatant attempts and ti... (show quote)

It boggles the mind that you can be so stupid !

I misplaced my SS card and tried to do it on line. Apparently, they found an abnormally so I couldn’t do it online. I called and even though they verified it was me on the phone, wanted me to fill out a form and send it in to SS with a photo ID like my drivers license (not a copy, the license itself). Naturally I wasn’t going to send the license so I now need to go to local SS office but was warned, due to COVID, they may not see me in person. I haven’t had time to call them yet but will do so next week. My point is I have to do this for a REPLACEMENT card even though I gave him and told him to ask me any question he wants, I’m happy to cooperate.

I had homes in 2 states. I lived in x state my whole life, bought a home in y state. Took drivers license from x state and got one issued in y state, there was no problem. Sold home in y state and moved back to x state where I had a DL (which should be in the database)

Now, in order to get new DL in X state I need to provide SS card which I misplaced which is why I was trying to get lost SS card. I also needed 2 credit card bills (no problem), 1099 (which has my SS# on it by the way) no problem, a certified marriage certificate FROM 1980, from another state -don’t remember the county and am not positive of the state since I did a stupid thing and eloped at 18.

Well now, if I have to jump through all these hoops to prove who I am how can anyone show up to register to vote on Election Day.

It doesn't hurt to bad does it? I agree, it's not that hard to get out of your pocket. Most doctors offices require your insurance card before that treat you. Somehow people are able to get those cards out of pockets and purses.

good morning tug...

It is not the idea of voter ID that I see as the problem..

How the laws are written , with the intent and design of preventing a targeted segment of the population from early voting..

From the time these laws started popping up after the gutting of the voter rights act, the republicans have been doing everything possible to keep areas of Democrat majority from reaching the polls.

The first time they asked for it, I told them it's about time this state started using i.d. to vote.
You have to have i.d. for almost everything, so I don't believe people don't have one.

this outdated set of stats is not longer accurate. even expressed in this way, the surge in the US has made US by far the worst country in the world fighting the covid..

But even if we accept the graph as current/correct.. the 240,000 deaths and areas with no more hopital space clearly make the point that this is a dangerous decease and not simply a political skirmish..

The major media and social media sites do a great job of supppressing Republican votes. I guess you endorse that. You are a complete fraud. The #1 reason the demorat party endorses no voter i.d. is so voter fraud can continue to get their people in office so that their totalitarian ideology can continue toward the enslavement of Americans.

My State has tried to pass voter ID laws at least a half dozen times. Our State supreme court threw them out, because the bills were never JUST about voter ID........................the repub legislature tried to sneak in a whole bunch of voter suppression items, such as; limiting polling venues and hours of operation ( to deny working folks a chance to vote ), requiring citizens that didn't vote last year to re register, banning registering to vote at Dept. of finance ( DMV ) offices and a slew of other crap.

Dept of Finance is not the same as the Dept of Motor Vehicles.
