Fuel is no problem here, because my host and I are both sail purists -- I'll only use the engine for really tricky docking situations or getting through channels -- something rare -- when there is no breeze. Otherwise, sail only.
It's partly a disciplinary exercise, because if a cataclysmic situation ever arose where getting and remaining offshore was a matter of survival and fuel was unavailable for whatever reason, it would be a big plus being accustomed to doing things the old fashioned way.

I just read in my local newspaper that the statues of Queen Isabella sitting on her throne while Christopher Columbus is kneeling at her feet and showing her a map are going to be removed from the State Capitol building here in Sacramento. Ever since I came to Sacramento back in 1993, I've been visiting the Capitol once in awhile and there were almost always a handful of peanuts in Queen Isabella's lap, why, I don't know. Maybe whoever was doing it thought that she was hungry. Anyway, I'm sure going to miss that.

I just fished conversing with a liberal on another topic who told me that if their issues were addressed the rioters would not be rioting. In my version of American English that is excusing and defending rioting and looting. I do agree with your Whites involved in the rioting. However, some seem to be Anarchists, Communists, and such. Perhaps one or two skinheads or Nazis, but not the bulk.

Give me some context and a link. Somehow, I doubt this is White Privilege. I have read differing accounts and some of them say it was about sending out for BK food to get Roof to talk.
White Privilege on a school shooter is a ridiculous concept on it's face.
