That may be a way of ending DACA. As I understand it enrollment in DACA has been cut off and only renewals are permitted. Maybe we should end the renewals and all DACA members must either become citizens or leave the country by some date to be determined in the executive order or legislation ending the program.

That would be the way to go about it...

Anyone with DACA status should be forced to apply for citizenship... As long as they have a clean record it should be granted... After the usual wait period... End of story...

I believe President Trump should leave DACA kids alone!! They are not at fault, especially if they were too young to realize what their parents were doing!! They don't know any other country , but this one ..Where are you planning to send them??? My son's fiance is DACA kid and I love her dearly and will fight for her if it comes down to it! She is better person than mist leftists on OPP!!!I'm sorry if you guys don't like this, but this is my opinion!

Congratulations, RT for your courageous comment. You find yourself in a situation that many of us find ourselves: deeply disturbed about an issue or an activity until it happens to or is attributed to someone we know or love. Then, for some reason, that issue disappears and is even reversed.
For instance, Senator Portman being very hostile to gays until his son came out. Then, he saw the issue in a different light: https://www.cnn.com/2013/03/15/politics/portman-gay-marriage/index.html ..

I hate hypocrisy and post about it often. But I am not so sure that this transformation of people who change political or other positions based on finding that a loved one participates in it is hypocrisy. Perhaps it shows a weakness or absence of truly real concern in our own position.
Why is it so difficult for us to not be able to see another person's position or activity through their lens? Why does it take a friend or loved one's situation to cause us to change our minds?

Well done!

I have a suspicion about the Supreme Court, Roberts to be more exact. This was a pretty straightforward case.
That may change soon. Congress may not be democrap's anymore.

Roberts might be the only one on the court who is less an ideologue than the other justices (Nah, probably not!). Although Conservative, he has aligned with the court liberals many times. But you can almost always be sure where Ginsberg, Sotomayer, and Kagan, or, Gorsuch, Kavanaugh, and Thomas will align, and most of the time for Breyer and Alito, depending on the issue. Roberts' majority decision wasn't entirely wrong based on what the law is. Congress needs to fix this. Not likely to happen considering all the animosity and vitriol that exists in the Democratic Party for Trump. There is very little chance for a meeting of the minds to come to a reasonable solution considering the current state of political discourse between the parties.

It is the liberals and some conservatives that look the other way for potential voters down the road which is unethical.

I do support Donald Trump having worked in the private sector most of my career. Now working for the federal government in Washington; there is a very deep swamp. Only an outsider would address this. There are so many on the federal gravy train that makes lots of money through contracts that a private sector employer would never engage in. Donald Trump understands how to transact at a lower cost and how to get rid of dead wood and not valued adding to us, the US voters. You may not like his street fighter thin-skinned approach but he does what he says he going to do. Wouldn't you like every President, Senator, Congressman or woman to do the same thing?

Ethics have left Washington D.C. I would suggest voting for the person who delivers on what he says and represents all people regardless of the numerous groups we're placed in by the media and unethical people of the Washington swamp.

There is Fed Judicial Precedent of Non-Citizens having baby here in the USA, and taking baby with them back to their Country... The Precedent said that the Minor USA Citizen (born in this Country but Legally moved out of the USA) would have to wait until they were of Legal Adult Age to enter the USA... So, Illegal Immigrant Adults should take their USA Born Children with them back to their Country rather than separate the Family, and the Mino Citizen can reenter the USA when a Legal Adult...

Why would they need to become citizens? They're already getting as many or more benefits than citizens. There is no incentive to become a citizen. Determine an end date for DACA of say July 1, 2023. At that time all DACA protections end. Any DACA program members not citizens on that date are scheduled for immediate deportation. As a part of overall immigration reform, we should end chain migration and the diversity immigration lottery. It used to be to become a citizen you needed to learn the language, learn about the laws of the country and pass a test. We need an official language for the country. We also need the courts to make a ruling on natural born citizenship or have legislation passed to make a definitive call on that issue. Instead of just being born in the country conveying automatic citizenship, automatic citizenship should only apply to children born to American citizens or children born to resident aliens. Citizenship should not go to children born to tourists, foreign diplomats, or illegal aliens.
