A woman was killed in a dog attack Wednesday in south suburban Country Club Hills.

Kati Amos, 70, was attacked by a dog about 10:35 a.m. in the 3900 block of West 167th Place, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office. An autopsy found she died of her injuries, and her death was ruled an accident.

Country Club Hills police did not immediately respond to a request for details.

Attacks on police are getting more vicious every single day !! Over 300 police officers got hurt,1 officer lost his life!! Rioters throwing molotov cocktails at the their's cars,sometime with them in it,throwing bricks, bottles , bodily fluids !! One restaurant refused to serve them.Minneapolis is planning on dismantling their poluce department !Many States,including California are slashing budgets into hundreds of million of dollars !! Washington Mayor is kicking out National Guard out of State!! On and on and on!! I get it,some police officers deserve to be lkicked out of force ,like 2 officers who pushed 75 year old to the ground and just walking away!That portion man hit his head hard when he fell backwards and was bleeding !! They got suspended without a pay! But vast majority of brave men and women are here to protect us!! So what is going to happen when there no police to protect us!! Just go to Venezuela , or Mexico and see what happens when there's lawlessness !! You people who think you don't need police,you think you'll be safe?? I tell you what go see a movie Purge !! And than tell me,you don't want police around!!! I don't believe you!......Like I said it before there are bad apples in every profession , including police deoartneb!! We are all human , we all make mistakes !!I for one thinking about starting my own movement SUPPORT POLICE ! We all need law and order !!

The DC Appellate court and the US Supreme Court have ruled that police have no constitutional duty to protect us from harm.

In the cases DeShaney vs. Winnebago and Town of Castle Rock vs. Gonzales, the supreme court has ruled that police agencies are not obligated to provide protection for citizens. In other words, police are well within their rights to pick and choose when to intervene to protect the lives and property of others — even when a threat is apparent.

However, this does not mean that police officers would refuse to do so, but the bottom line, PR, is We, the People are the first responders when we are threatened.

Nationwide, the average police response time to a 911 call is 10 minutes. The response time of a 45 Cal ACP bullet is 800 to 900 feet per second.

What I'm saying is, when we are faced with an immediate threat to our lives, we are on our own, so who ya gonna call? I have a few options - Colt, Winchester, and Springfield.
