Frogdog. Problem is the GOP so damned inarticulate and not united.
We don't know how to talk to people esp independents.
Dems explain in terms of people no matter how bad their policies are
GOP talks in terms of "principles"
And doesn't do that well

I would, however, like to stop funding and policing the rest of the world. "We The People" were never given the choice of whether or not to join the UN, WHO, WTO, etc. Our elected officials signed us up to pay our hard earned taxes to these organizations after they promised not to raise our taxes so we would elect them.

If there could be a nationwide election on these, and other, organizations, and the cost to each taxpayer was broken down and shown, the USA would no longer participate with them. And if the actual expenditures of these orgs were known, the vote wouldn't even be close.

The same thing goes for the IRS, HHS, FBI, CIA, EEOC, EPA and all the rest of these bloated government entities we pay to do little other than keep people employed in jobs that no longer require such a huge budget and workforce.

In other words, we are not in control of our own destiny, and never have been. And "NO" not everyone can grow up to be anything they want to be. So there. What the hell are we going to do?

Proud Republican. That's a harsh view.
I don't think most Republicans are spineless.
Ill educated or even stupid maybe. Sine overly greedy or power mad perhaps. But compared to Democrats....
Trouble is most Republicans, even posters here, are obsessed with discussing ill-conceived opinions and don't discuss but just state them without trying to convince others.
That goes for conservatives, moderates etc. And for the extreme left, including Trump haters.
I get many requests to donate money to Republican organizations...local, state and national. I no longer contribute but tell them why.
I don't see any of them working to build Republican Party infrastructure.
I don't see them producing GOP ads to really explain issues, to educate. To elucidate.
Still, although the Dems are better propagandists...so were Nazis and soviet communists, that doesn't mean they have a better platform or justification for taking power.
Always remember in elections...our candidates may not be perfect, but in comparison almost all of them are better than Dems.
And defection to 3rd parties by Republicans only puts Dems in power.
At least the GOP usually tolerates different views. We are usually consistent. Example:
Dems blame Republicans and especially Trump for deaths of elderly, of responsibility for Coniv-19 deaths. Yet Dems support unlimited abortion with no tolerance for other views or people in their Party who oppose abortion or want to limit it.
Dems think and advocate spending tax dollars to kill unborn babies under the theory that women have the right to their own bodies...a crazy theory. Unborn are not their bodies, they are temporary inhabitants of those bodies...and invited inhabitants except for those conceived by rape.

Yep, there are a lot of folks now claiming to have "known" and "warned" the president. Reminds me of these women and their years later accusations of sexual abuse.

In hind sight I too knew!

You hit the nail on the head! From why I don’t contribute to republican requests to the abortion issues. It takes part of a boy’s body to make a baby, so the “it’s my body” is ridiculous. By the way, just who are these girls having their babies killed? Christian girls lean conservative, they’re not going to have as much premarital sex, so aren’t abortions actually affecting the future of the liberal voting block? They’re scrambling the brains of their future comrades. I think abortion is one of the most sinful thing that you can do. Better watch out, the wages of sin is death.

So much of what is going on in the media, the country and the world will not depend on hindsight. It depends NOW on the people THINKING and reading behind the lines.
It is incredible that the Democratic Party...its leaders AND its voters have adopted lies, distortions, suppression of free speech without some evidence of revolt both in the Congressional Democrat Caucuses and elsewhere. If 2 ideas can define the Democratic Party and their media and Hollywood lackeys, they are: take power no matter the cost, and HATE. Spew hate. Teach hate. Let hate permeate their brains and hearts.

I believe, I read that blacks in America are now having more abortions than births.

Probably true! Some of their leaders, very few of them, are disgusted with the mass abortions black women are having done.

Interestingly, the percentages of those arrested in New York for violating the Covid restrictions are much, much higher for black people.

Why blacks have voted Democrat so heavily since Johnson amazes me.

80% of abortions in America are black babies. Planned Parenthood was started by a racist woman as a way to control the black population.

I have been critiqued a few times for posting on media forums.... The China Daily for one... I was foolish to refer to it as the Wu flu... But wasn't paying attention... My grandsons fathers sister couldn't conceive and so at that time people were adopting children from Russia as the care for the children in Russian nurseries was advertised in the US as less than desirable. Sp it came about that it was time to go and get the child (a small boy) and bring him back to the US. My daughter was somewhat close to the sister who was going to adopt the boy from Russia and they had been conversing via emails for some time. As the sister and her husband were making the trip from the US to Russia my daughter followed along via the emails. She told me later that as soon as the crossed the border into Russia that the emails changed completely. It appeared that they had some Russian that was retyping the emails that my daughter received and the way that she could tell was she was used to how the sister would write and the style switched completely and certain words were used that were out of context etc. The style of writing had completely changes as well. It is scary how communist governments work and how they treat their subjects in thought word and actions. If you like the Chinese government that is up to you I just enjoy my freedoms and would hate to have to relinquish those freedoms to any government.
