He lives in San Francisco. It hasn't snowed there since the last Ice Age.
LOL Smedley. Snow has actually fallen TWICE in my 26 years here! Of course it was only on the highest elevations and didn't stick. Kind of like the time is snowed in Tallahassee, FL when I was a kid.
Too many weird things coming together at the same time!!!
These "murder hornets" seem to be nothing more than the Japanese Hornets that have plagued NC, SC, and GA for I don't know how many years. The behavior is the same, and they are about the same size. One more thing... they hurt like HELL when they sting you. They also attack and destroy honeybee hives which puts them on my doo-doo list. Bees in this country are having a hard enough time as it is; especially here in the Southeast. I had to get rid of a nest of those bastards once. I thought it was cold enough that they wouldn't react to the poison I sprayed. I was wrong.

These "murder hornets" seem to be nothin... (show quote)
Seems the Japanese Honey Bee has developed a strategy to fight the murder wasp. Looks like they swam a hornet, vibrate enough to raise the temperature inside the swarm-ball to over 100 degrees, and the COOK the hornet!
Bees outside Japan seem to have not learned this grisly technique.
