I am tired of posting for now. Things are getting more outrageous all the time. Whats your hobby? Do you have any good news? a good recipe? well Thats what I would like to talk about if any one feels like it.

Not really tired put interest is fading.

I have a lot of interests but I can't say I have any hobbies.

For the last couple of months I have been on this forum a lot.

I do have some money in the stock market & like to follow that.

At 77 I still go out & work. My goal is for 100 billable hours a month but have been missing that goal lately.

Poached Pears:
6 Good ripe pears- peal all but the very top, leave the stem sticking up and remove the core from the bottom. Boil for 10 min in a simple sugar over med high heat. Remove the pears. Add a cup of blueberries to the syrup. Turn off the heat. Cook 5 min. Place pear standing up in a bowl. Pour blueberry syrup over pear. serve warm. add real whipped cream if you like.

At 60 I still have a company to run. I would love to retire but my employees have hung in there with me so I want to make sure I do right by them. I have worked for so many years, I don't know what I would do with the time.

Hobbies are: horseback riding, oil painting, and just hanging out with the grand kids.

You sound busy. I want to get a pony for my granddaughter when she is big enough. I learned how to ride on an old White Gelding named Sam. He was my older cousins favorite horse. He named his son after him.

A curious thing happened to me. After years of being glued to the TV watching some of Fox and some of MSNBC, it came to an abrupt about three months ago. I did not wean myself off or even think about it; I just stopped altogether and found myself totally disinterested, even to the point of not asking myself why. This happened to me with boxing. An avid fan from the age of about ten, one day I was watching a match and totally lost interest. I thought to myself, "Why do I want to watch two men beating each other up? What's the point?" And that was it.

Maybe it was the grace of God working on me. And maybe that led me as well to a great recipe for pot roast: Put the meat in heavy duty aluminum foil; take dried onion mix and condensed mushroom soup and mix together with on-third a cup of water; pour the mix over the two pounds of meat; cook at 300 for four hours. Yummer zummers. I also occasionally add one large yellow onion, minced garlic and half a cup of green chili. Greatest gravy I ever tasted.

I help people, and have done so for over 30 years...and LOL...would be a very wealthy woman if I had kept all that money for myself. Today....in a little while, I'll pick up a friend who is HIV positive......and, as we do most days, find something to do....go to a movie, help another with a yard......whatever comes along....in which we can be of service. Believe me, there is never any slack in this need, because there is always a new hungry homeless person....a child who needs something..........it's never dull and never boring. I am considering volunteering at the VA hospital in my spare time, as I love working with Vets....particularly those with PTSD. I don't intend to spend the rest of my years in front of a television set. There's too much to do.

I have given blood to the Red Cross for years. 61 pints so far. I help in some charity events and volunteer as president on a small road district board. I find it is hard to recruit volunteers and I must say God Bless those who hear the call and answer.

Used to donate often.....being o negative. But....they kept calling me every 30 days......
I later found one isn't supposed to donate again until 53 days. I wondered why I felt so lousy.........and do still occasionally donate, but am not on an "on call" list again.
Keep up the good work.....it keeps someone else alive.....and what better can one do?

having you go in every 30 days was a bad deal. Someone was not paying attention. I get called regularly but I do try to make appointments and keep them.
