The ones you were talking about were the ones with the incurable disease called "Welfare Entitlement Proclivity" There is no known cure, and it's very contagious. Leftists are very susceptable. And it's very infective to children....probably genetically inherited.

The cure would be simple, but the politicians will not prescribe it.

The cure:
No welfare of any kind, food stamps, ADC. WIC, free health care, free school lunches, Obama ohones, unemployment, housing subsidies, nothing, for any able bodied person who refuses any job offer or who maccepts a job and then refuses to perform.

hprinze Wic is a program that I don't mind helping. You can't be pro life and not support the infants ability to become a person! Without this program most poor kids wouldn't have a chance developmentally. The rest I can agree with, though it seems like the children suffer for the parents transgressions. Welfare has become a disease that needs slowly to be phased out. Some states are better equipped than others to make sure that applicants are not scamming.

Wow, this girl has a great plan! Love the last thing she would do the best. This was written by a 21 yr. old female who understands today’s economy. It's her future she's worried about and this is how she feels about the social welfare big government state that she's being forced to live in! These solutions are just common sense in her opinion.
This was in the Waco Tribune Herald, Waco, TX.............
PUT ME IN CHARGE . .
Put me in charge of food stamps. I'd get rid of Lone Star cards; no cash for Dingdongs or HoHo's, just money for 50-pound bags of rice and beans, blocks of cheese and all the powdered milk you can haul away.
If you want steak and frozen pizza, then get a job.
Put me in charge of Medicaid. The first thing I'd do is to get men Norplant birth control implants or tubal-ligations. Then, we'll test recipients for drugs, alcohol, and nicotine.
If you want to reproduce or use drugs, alcohol, or smoke, then get a job.
Put me in charge of government housing. Ever live in a military barracks? You will maintain our property in a clean and good state of repair. Your "home" will be subject to inspections anytime and possessions will be inventoried.

If you want a plasma screen TV or Xbox 360, then get a job & your own place.

In addition, you will either present a check stub from a job each week or you will report to a "government" job. It may be cleaning the roadways of trash, painting and repairing public housing, whatever we find for you. We will sell your 22-inch rims and low profile tires and your blasting stereo and speakers and put that money toward the "common good."

Before you write that I've violated someone's rights, realize that all of the above is voluntary. If you want our money, accept our rules, it's just that simple. Before you say that this would be "demeaning" and ruin their "self-esteem," consider that it wasn't that long ago that taking someone else's money for doing absolutely nothing was demeaning and lowered self-esteem. If we are expected to pay for other people's mistakes we should at least attempt to make them learn from their bad choices. The current system rewards them for continuing to make bad choices.
(I love this one.)

AND While you are on Gov't assistance, you no longer can VOTE! Yes, that is correct. For you to vote would be a conflict of interest. If you want to vote, then get a job and support your government instead of living off of it.

What about STATES that are welfare parasites? Mississippi gets over 3 bucks from the feds for every dollar they pay in federal taxes. Should Mississippi get two senators? Should Mississippi's congresssional votes count? Should CN and NY get twice as many votes, as they get about 50 cents for every dollar?

You want to drive using govt subsidized gas? Wrong you have to pay world market prices
You want your mortgage interest credit? Wrong you bought that house now pay for it
You want your roads and infrastructure paid for? Then all roads and bridges will be toll based.
You want cheap inexpensive food? Wrong all agricultural workers now will get at least minimum wage with overtime as expressed by law.
You want whole industries that employ thousands propped up by the government? Let em all fail.
Your kid going to college with a grant, loan or subsidy? Nope they can work two jobs (mine did) and graduate off their own sweat and hard work.
You wanna know what the weather is gonna be, get tornado and hurricane information, farm forecasts for frost warnings etc? Stick your head out the window or consult the almanac.
So the article was written by a "21" year old. It shows the poor insight, lack of reflection, and naivete of that incomplete adolescent brain. Find someone who knows better.

You need to remember, looking in the mirror, everything is reversed! Mirror image! Not being black or minority, MY gas isn't subsidized, but it is taxed and profit taken at every step of the way. (Futures market) Wrong...I have never had a mortgage, built this house myself, every block and board paid for, every payday, before it was laid or hammered in! But I pay full taxes on it! My roads are paid for by my gas taxes, and sales tax and property taxes and registration taxes, Not the government! You not being in agriculture you aren't informed enough to comment on that subject! Industries employing thousands? make that millions OF GOVERNMENT DRONES! And propped up BANKERS that donate to democrats! Weather forcasts? mine come off the TV, supported by advertising! And forecasting supported by the military budget! Navy and Airforce mainly! I too worked my way through college, no college loans or grants, taking useful courses NOT LIBERAL ARTS! My children are self employed, have useful businesses! And pay taxes so Obama can give it to Muslims! Mississippi is a piker when it comes to noses in the public feed bag. Sara Palins Alaska sucked 27 dollars of money from Washington for every dollar Alaskans paid in federal tax. To add insult to injury they dump a fat wellfare check on every Alaskan rich or poor in the form of an oil profit sharing check! Every Alaskan is on the teet way more than the so called Chicago welfare queens.

This sounds great ! I recall that back in 1961 there were no food stamps. If you were lacking you could go to a county location & receive as the young lady says A block of cheese, a box of powered milk, and little else I know as my in laws at the time had to do this, and they seemed to do just fine. Wake up folks and lets stop the gravy train.

The land you built your house on is stolen..pay the people who really owned it... the trees you built your house with were most likely owned by you but given away to a company that soaked you to make a profit...the weather forecast is thanks to satellites put up by your taxes (and to a certain extent the military also supported by your taxes) and given away to for profit companies for free! I am and have been in agriculture as a consumer, producer and worker at various points in my life so yes I can comment and did...ad hominen attacks are not necessary to have a thoughtful discussion. Finally, Ronnie presided over the largest tax increase in history and never submitted a balanced budget. He set many precedents (think basement arms deals and military exploits without congressional approval or even oversight) that subsequent presidents, including our current one, have exploited to erode our, yours, mine, and our children's, civil rights.

I can't pay the origional owners, the Seminoles killed all of them! read the history of Key West. And the government bought it from Spain, using my ancestor's tax money, then traded it to the railroads for track laid, the railroads sold it after holding it for years, a realtor sold it for the railroad to my parents, I bought it from them. Maybe Spain's possession is questionable? Some of the Caloosas returned to Cuba with the Spanish after it was sold! Maybe they could claim it? Look it up, they were called "Spanish Indians". But....when the government taxes you on it, they confirm your possession!

Basement arms deals......you mean arming the contras after the communists took over the Sandanista revolution? The state dept would prefer the communists, they and the media are communist controlled, Read None Dare Call it Treason I and II. and then research Hillary and Kerry and NVN.

Was actually just down that way and finally got to see the Everglades remarkable place. The Calusa were killed primarily, like many native people, by smallpox. Tribes from the North (driven out in search of territory by colonial expansion) and the Seminoles did the rest. When you buy stolen goods they are still stolen--taxes not withstanding--the government being a very unique "fence."

I don't think what you suggest is likely to be done, but you did make some sound suggestions, for libs to learn from

I lived there for 13 years, until the government took my home and destroyed any sign that we had a community there! The eventual aim of Agenda 21, as expressed by Al Gore. My neighbors were Indians, Here we don't hate them like in the west! Different circumstances I guess! Now I live and work with Mexicans, both illegal and citizens. Did you figure out WHO stole my land? Should I put in a claim to Spain? I don't have a land patent like the Bundys. Only a deed and 75% mineral rights! That's why the government wants the land!

Give a percentage, do this, prove that. Can't you ever come up with anything new? Piss off, dweeb.

I googled percentage of welfare fraud. Read the first 8 - 9 citations. Some are conservative, some are liberal. The figures range from provable rates around 1.8% to estimates up to 25%. The approximation of 2% seems fairly well agreed upon as PROVABLE.
The link below gives the point of view and research of an independent and seems somewhat balanced, although he IS a politician. He makes some good points here and there and might be a good starting point for discussion of what to do about it if we wanted to get more active.
I was interested to learn or consider the fact that many who see or learn of fraud are reluctant to report defrauding parents for fear of depriving innocent children of the needed help, as well as the usual, " not my business," response.
We all seem to have come to agree that there are deserving folks that everyone feels deserve the help they get and more, as well as the 'bad apples.'
Surely there are some action steps we could come up with and agree on without quibbling over the exact overall percentage of existing abuse?
Here's that link:

I read this maybe ten years ago; still demented. Tell a disabled veteran they cannot vote because they are getting SNAP? Nice plan.

Such a total misrepresentation and mean-spirited ideas about who gets assistance is the very worst the Right often serves up to incite their base: this is utterly disgusting--and wrong. (Not to mention fallacious.)

Actually it doesn't matter why you are on any government program, it is still a conflict of interest. There is nothing mean spirited about it, if you can vote yourself money you are just as much of a thief as if you walked over to your neighbors house and stole his car.

And who the hell says disabled people can't be just as productive as anyone else.
