Running out of nose hairs. It will take me 6 weeks to cry again.
OK auntiE, you did it. You made me tear up at bed time. I have known a few whose dads did not make it back. You probably have too. Somewhat unwillingly, I'll spend the nest few minutes thinking of thsm..

So what's your point?
Separation is a matter of choice in an all volunteer military. Somehow using this meme to create a false equivalency with enforced separation of children of illegal immigrants at the southern border seems disingenuous somehow.

By now, they (the caravaners, etc) all know about child separation and why before they come; word gets out and word travels.
Therefore, separation becomes a choice for them as well.
The only difference is that the military separations involve brave Americans who are leaving to fight for their country, not people who would rather migrate than fight for theirs.

You paint with an overly broad brush. Yes there are criminal gangs who traffic in children, yes there are people who are trying to game the system but is that everybody seeking asylum? I doubt it and in any case it is still difficult to justify separating children from their parents as a punitive measure to retaliate against people who have the temerity to beg for asylum.

There is nothing "punitive" about the separations, it's just common sense. Nobody invited these caravans to descend on our border en masse, tying up thousands of government employees who are needed elsewhere, costing the American taxpayer a fortune, and nobody invited the ones who wilfully sneak in across the border. Nobody invited illegal human traffickers to ply their trade at our border and nobody invited MS-13 to mix in with the "asylum seekers."
Our government's doing the best it can with the resources at its disposal, and the Trump Administration is having to deal with it

No I don’t think “our” government is doing the best it can. In the first place keeping families together makes way more sense. Who better to take care of infant children than their mothers? Images of emotionally distraught caged children being cared for only by older children in the same cage is the kind of bad press that seems emblematic of this administration that has trouble shaking off the

There you go playing the "white" card. The strategy of playing colors and ethnic backgrounds against each other to divide the American people is slowly but surely beginning to fail as minorities see what Trump's been doing for them and waking up to the fact that the Democratic Party simply uses them for votes and gets them no-place.
While your little Commie minds always look for a racist angle to play, the issue has nothing to do with race and everything to do with protecting our borders and knowing who is entering America.
Finally, your lot are liars who could care less about people or their predicaments except how you can exploit them for votes -- you lefties put your political agendas before human beings, and your agendas all seem to have goals that would include economic collapse, rampant crime and general chaos in America.
I'm not one of those useful idiots who fall for the malarkey the left wing is bringing into my country nor the total B.S. they use for cover.

It's a matter of choice for these people.....they CHOSE to make the journey.
And many of their children are NOT their children.

Just watch Buttgagag get the nomination and choose a centrist like Sherrod Brown for a running mate. That would worry me.

I suspect Buttagag will soon be dropping out due to lack of funding and support, as well as Kamala and a few others.
