Floyd, Floyd .. it's your side that is dead set on stripping away our liberty, like slowly removing the leaves from an artichoke.

Of course you'll disagree, but that's because the left wing indoctrination is strong in you. You've absorbed all the lies the left needs to plant in order to conceal their true intentions from the unsuspecting.

But cheer up, four more years of this great president will be good for all Americans, even you Trump haters.

Just sit back and enjoy the ride.

Well left or right personal life is mainly what each of us makes of it for our self.
It is not the right that makes my life great Or the left that makes your life seem less that what you would like it to be.
For individual life to be good there needs to be a bit more liberalism than conservatism.
Too many think being liberal means being poor.
Being liberal just makes you a bit more human.
More inclined to stop & smell the roses. (Take the time to really enjoy what you have.)
Too often seeking more material things brings less pleasure.
One spends to much time on getting & caring for the material things than enjoying the use of them.

Many people like having material things to talk about to others.
To not to (Talk with), about the issue. (But It is about telling you about their things that is the issue.)

I've always been more interested in having what I need than too much more than that, with enough contingency and other back-up to deal with emergencies, survival and otherwise.

While I've lived most of my life in cities, I actually enjoy getting out of them whenever possible, preferably heavily wooded mountains with a nearby small town, or, conversely, desert climates.

Living in "the middle of nowhere" or within spitting distance of same is my retirement objective.

However, I would prefer that when, on rare occasions, I happen to visit what passes for civilization, I find myself feeling like I'm in the same country I grew up and lived my adult life in, rather than those depicted in films like Demolition Man or Logan's Run.

I have spent time living in rural areas.
Including some time on a farm.
A small village.
A major city (Where I live now.(Milwaukee WI))
Spent almost 2 years in Hawaii.(In the Army)

I would guess that since I have internet & cable tat as long as I could have that living any where is fine.

As of now living in a big city with so many conveniences is where I will stay.
But the remembrances of the country sides of my youth hangs with me deeply.

Time spent at my aunts lake side cottage holds many lingering pleasant thoughts.
The stairs I helped my grandfather build in 1954 were still in great shape at my last visit in 1985.

The noise of loud music at night & speed boats on the lake took the allure of that a way.
Drawing down the lake to supply water for fast water races in rapids 40 miles down ruined the fish breeding areas..

I've been to Milwaukee briefly and spent some time in Minneapolis, more in Chicago due to a couple of longer term consulting contracts, lived in NY, LA, SF, Nawlins, Charlotte and Reno -- I had considered retiring to Reno, partly because of its smaller city atmosphere but mostly because it's in the Sierras, then decided on desert 🏜️, southern Az.

And when their heads explode, there will be nothing but hot air inside.

No, I'll just figure I saved some money. Maybe I'll put the money in my AR15 fund.

Somehow I pictured their heads filled with something considerably smellier.
