If ‘they’ are using all these horrible mass death bu guns, they need to get on to taking away knives. We’ve had a rash of knifing lately. If you’re a nut, there are so many ways to do your dirty work not necessarily guns. We need stricter laws, but if we give up our guns, we may as well just give up.
And don't forget forks with sharpened tynes... Any number of ways a to kill a person . How about rope? Take it all away! See how ridiculous gun "control" is?
Treat the perpetrators, not the instruments ...

Why do you go straight to "they're gonna make us give up our guns"? No one in their right mind would even suggest such an attempt, because it flat out ain't gonna happen, no way no how.
Everyone wants to focus on the weapon, which is a fools errand. Banning assault weapons - worthless, there are already enough in circulation to outfit an army. Background checks - worthless, 9 out of 10 mass shooters would pass. Red flag laws - worthless, if you're already mentally ill, stealing weapons from family, friends and neighbors is not a problem.
We need solutions for our Nation's propensity for violence, not solutions trying to legislate how the tools are used.

Don't forget rental trucks too!
One of the reasons I am against new gun laws is my belief in the 2nd amendment and my right to protect myself (the most fundamental right we have). This is needed to protect ourselves from bad guys and oppressive governments, the greater evil.
I understand why so many want to try to limit this right. I believe it is wrong logic and if someone wants to kill you, there are so many ways, many more lethal and able to commit greater damage. It just doesn't work.
If we are to give in just this one time, and let people further limit our rights to guns, it will only encourage them to further escalate their demands. Gun free zones or cites just don't work. Chicago is an example, The bad guys will rule even more so. They will never stop until they confiscate every gun. Then they will turn all their efforts to emasculate you. They will never quit reaching for total control over us.

So how many mass killings have been committed with a knife? When you can find more than one lets talk...

This is the second amendment: A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.
The right to self-defense is part of common law. There would be no need to create a specific amendment for that purpose. Read the second amendment as it is printed it above. It tells you why it was created.
In this case you are logically wrong...

No one in their right minds? Yep! A lot of SocialistsDemocrats are after just that, but you’re right, they not in their right minds. There’s been a huge effort to destroy the Second Amendment. Surely, you’ve noticed. Sometimes you are misled, but you are not ignorant .

That is hardly the point and you well know it.

What's wrong with enforcing the laws already passed?

I'm looking forward to seeing the left's response to this when we get down to where people are killing each other with rocks and tree branches. Perhaps they will pass a law where they tell God that he can no longer make trees or stones.
