To read such lines penned by a US Marine Corps General... Wow. Just... Wow. He goes on:

"But what does it profit the men who are killed? What does it profit their mothers and sisters, their wives and their sweethearts? What does it profit their children?

What does it profit anyone except the very few to whom war means huge profits?

Yes, and what does it profit the nation?"

"It would have been far cheaper (not to say safer) for the average American who pays the bills to stay out of foreign entanglements."

The man in the High Castle, Amazon Prime will give you an example.
Not only language.
The Man in the High Castle is a startling depiction of an alternate history as imagined by author Philip K. Dick in his best-selling novel; a world in which Nazi Germany and Japan were victorious in World War II.

Newt Gingrich has on FB "" What If "" stories and this one would be a good one to have him do .

Bankers might make money on wars but the only banker wars I know of are when they are foreclosing on someone

If you knew the basis for any of it, you wouldn't have written that, so I'll forgive your ignorance. I'm not going to waste my time trying to edjumicate you because you won't pay one whit of attention and in the end, it won't make any difference anyway. Take it from a decorated Marine Corps General. It's a racket where the profits are measured in dollars and the losses in lives.

SO, you say Pearl Harbor was a lie? You are the ignorant one here.
You have no idea what would happen to the world if we were to shut down our military. That fact
says everything about your smarts.

What kind of world we be living in today if the Nazi's and Japanese weren't stopped what kind of world would we live in if Muslims ruled and forced Islam on everyone ? ? ? ?

Yes War is evil BTDT but to stand by while the rest of the world is taken over by evil corrupt people means it'd only be time till the total world would be at our door steps saying surrender or die !

So the question would be are we MEN and willing to step up to the plate and fight and defend our lifestyle and freedoms OR would we be wimps and stand back and do nothing and surrender ? ? ? ?

Exactly! We would be living as slaves to our Nazi masters, or serfs to our Japanese imperial warlords! War is absolutely necessary at times. Especially in times like now when the muslim enemy sees the advantage of life in paradise with 72 doe eyed virgins. There's just no getting through with fanatics like these with dialogue. So I send them to their 72 virgins.
Whenever I see one of those stupid bumper stickers, "War is not the answer." I'm temped to scribble in at the bottom, "Then surrender".
Like Reagan told us in his 'Rendezvous With Destiny' speech when he was fighting the USSR, "We can have peace in the next second - by surrendering"

Wasn't supposed to be won, just sustained. The longer that awful war continued, the more defense spending was needed to sustain it. Take a look at the current conflicts in the Middle East and tell me that after 18 years the most advanced military machine in the history of mankind is still unable to put a lid on it? Gimme a break. This is being sustained purposely to appropriate literally $trillions into the military-industrial complex. The same setup President Eisenhower warned us of over seventy years ago.

It was the same strategy during WW1. While that war was concluded with a victory, G. Edward Griffin writes in his book, "The Creature From Jekyll Island" that measures were taken to deliberately prolong the war for the sake of profit.

Profit trumps life, as long as it isn't the profiteers paying the price.
