I have to quit reading these stories. My bladder must be too near my tear ducts, for they keep running over.
The dog is wonderful, but so is the man. I admire him for trying to walk, If I were in that position, I wonder if I would try to walk.
I have had many dogs in my life, and I would love to have one now. We had to take a boxer to the pound, because he killed a neighbors hog. He did not hurt the hog, he just tried to play with it, so the neighbor shot him with buckshot. The man at the pound said that she would not stay there long before being adopted.

Good point. I wonder if he would have made the effort if he didn't have the dog? Dogs can reach us in ways no human can.
