That all depends on how you're prepped. If all your supplies are in the spare bedroom, hunker down. If you depot'd your supplies in another location, bug out.

This is a decision to make now, because you don't want to find yourself in a SHTF situation and dependent on commerce or friends who may or may not be reliable under those circumstances.

I know several families who have pooled their resources and set up a 'bug out' location to meet at should the occasion arise. Others have set up their homes and surrounding areas to accommodate their needs in situ should it ever be necessary.

The choice is yours to make. Base it on your knowledge of the surrounding areas and ability to transport yourself, your family and your possessions at short notice. My choice is to remain in situ and fight it out on home ground if that becomes the only option. Others may not see it that way.

Good words to survive by. Are you physically prepared to back them up?

You can't. Either they are capable of seeing for themselves or they are not. Sort, don't convince. Present your preparations as being 'disaster' related, such as hurricane or earthquake, that kind of thing. Also, bear in mind, if too many people know you're prepared, when it does actually come down, you'll be their target simply because you're the one with the essentials that they failed to stockpile. By keeping schtum, you may actually be saving their life, if you catch my drift...

Gotcha ! I'm laying low, paying attention. Haven't revealed much outside the family. There are some candidates who'd probably hook up. Will have to wait until things become obvious to all !

Be careful of how much info you give out or when those neighbors run out of supplies they will be looking to take yours. Mike

For older adults such as myself bugging out is not advisable with health issues most older adults would not be able to withstand the stress. So you need to think about making sure mom and dad have supplies to stay in place they would in the end be a burden and would not be able to make it through so I myself I use 4patriots for supplies and leman's for supplies.

A Mormon I knew used to boast about having supplies stored up at the end of the world so they would be ok! I told her we would be ok too! We would just follow you home! Lol
