Gee, Al, I like your handle...

how do you like that coming from a liberal?

What is the link to that 1965 action?

I was elsewhere at the time and can not come up with any memory about the border..

How does one manage to forget one's pants at the supermarket

I was stating that would be more likely than my forgetting my everpresent cuppa. Ask Slat, he's been around me enough to know I am never without coffee.

I followed the thread...
You were clearly in a supermarket

Life without coffee... Shudder...
We ran out once... I had a bag of beans hidden away.. Snuck cups every time my wife was out of the house until the next shipment came in...
Still feel a little guilty...

The first sentence spells it out nicely. The information following is just good gravy. Well put.

I have heard that Kennedy and Johnson pushed the change in immigration laws in 1965 so they could foster a permanent underclass of poorly educated laborers with a high birthrate to put tax money back in the Social Security coffers that the Democrats had been looting to pay for the huge escalation in Vietnam and LBJ's Great Society.

That was Johnson alone. He was quoted as saying that he'd have Blacks voting for democrats for the 100 years....except he didn't use the word "Blacks." Much of the miseries we see Blacks suffering today can be blamed on LBJ and his democrat cronies. Destroying the Black family structure set the table for one parent households dependent on the addictive Government dime. The perfect trap done under the guise of bringing Blacks into the mainstream. Sorry if this offends but I saw it happen and barely lived through the result. I've got the gunshot wound to prove it.

Yes but it was Ted Kennedy who pushed for opening immigration, which had been shut down since the 1920's, again. Mike
