Being born at Christmas time..... everyone forgets my birthday including me. I have never had a birthday party and can not ever remember receiving a gift. So I often have to do the math. This year I am either 69 or 70 depending on how you look at it.... I have either lived for 69 years or I am working on living my 70th. All in all, I don't give it much thought. Now then, you wife has the right idea.... keep them all guessing!
I'm terribly sorry Penny
happy belated birthday

just think
you and our Lord have the same birthday

Gee, I'm confused again. Happy b'day to all who really had one. Happy b'day to all who think they had one. Happy b'day to those who can't count. Happy b'day to all living in the matrix of groundhog day again. There, I think I covered everyone, now I'm tired, and I'm taking a nap and maybe the world will be sane again when I wake up.
the larger question there Peewee
is
will you be sane
I have never felt bad about my birthday.... think about it, everyone seems to be in good humor, they think of others before themselves.... all in all, what a wonderful time to be born.
I always thought that we celebrate the wrong person anyway, it is our mothers we should send thank you cards.... on the day we are born, a mother goes though hell but in the end she loves you anyway. My habit... even now and she is passed, I sent her a thank you card and now, I do not miss putting a memory stone on her grave site.
But, thank you for the birthday wish... and remember, today is Archie Bunker's birthday... if you find time, please wish him happy birthday. Also... happy new year. This is the year of the Pig (or will be in February), a good luck year for most people!

If I could have my body the way it was when I was 30, and my mind the way it is now, or better....that would be good!

If I went back in time and gave 30 year old me my mind and my money, he'd be dead by now. That would serve me right.

Thank you Penny!
Unfortunately, too many people use my birthday as an excuse to get hammered, and act the fool. Every year, I look for the reports of how many DUI's are caught on this day.
But, Hey! So far, I've had an unusually great day.
This morning, I took my car to get it inspected.
Took five minutes.
Went to the County Clerk place to get my new registration.
Took longer to walk to, and from the car than it did to pay my annual vehicle tax.
Needed grain for the horse, and pulled into the feed store two minutes before they closed.
In, and out!
The kids, and grandkids are all coming out after while, and bringing food.
All in all, it's looking like a pretty good day!
The only downside is the fact that Mrs. B. has to be at work at the Post Office at 4pm today.
I guess if I stay up that late, I'll kiss the dog at Midnight. I love him too, so he'll make a fine substitute!
