Most of my homeless were located by my truck drivers at truck stops fueling up when approached asking for money to eat on.
They would buy them a meal, they knew a real homeless from a drunk bum. The drivers told then about the tree farm and the rules. If they wanted to try it for a few weeks to see if they wanted a full time job
If not one of our truck drivers would drop them off where they wanted to go along the route they were taking. So far we have had only a few that wanted to leave.
Grandpaw started that practice around 1954 and it worked fine. When I inherited the place I continued thr practice. We also hire ladies who are widows of ex-military personel.
