You know, a little reading will inform you that back in the 1800s, the good citizens of th USA felt the same way about the Irish, Italians, Jews, Catholics, Southern Europeans, Polish, and on and on. And so the govt. of the states and cities did all they could to keep them out. And no, the poor foreigners didn't learn English any faster than the Hispanics learn it. We have been through this before, and we are going through it again. It's not the end of civilization as you know it. It's just the beginning of a new era. Someday one of those immigrants might just save your life, invent some wonderful object, create a better world for ALL of us. Stop thinking your heritage saved us all. There were as many outlaws back in the day as there is now.
Our problem is not immigrants. Our problem is graft and corruption, from the local school superintendent on up to federal govt., with both parties engaging in it.
Treat others the way you wish to be treated. You are no better or worse than they. You are merely the product of you birth.

At what point in time will you admit that it is a mistake to leave our borders open? When you realize that YOU are paying for these people when your taxes go up and up and up? When your children in school are exposed to sicknesses that are coming into our country unchecked, and there is an epidemic of TB and other contagious diseases (remember, HIPPA laws do not allow medical personnel to divulge when there is an epidemic going on - you find out when you or a family member becomes sick)? When illegals start driving around your neighborhood with fake drivers licenses casing for the "right" homes to break into? When a criminal illegal alien, who has been deported multiple times, moves into the house next door?

When illegal aliens sneak into our country they don't just stay around the border - they are everywhere in every state...and they welcome other illegals into the towns they live in as well as their own homes. For instance, Lewiston, Maine, has a large population of illegals that were bused into the town a few years ago. Many people are leaving that town because of it. There are a lot more towns like Lewiston with the same problem. You just don't hear about it because the left wing media, who support open borders, doesn't want you to know.

Our problem most definitely is the ILLEGAL immigrants - not "the immigrants" - the illegal ones!

The people you refer to came legally. Most through Ellis island. Had to have medical exams and a sponsor and a job. You're company apples and kumquats.

A lady in our church has a cousin working in the welfare dept in a large southern city. They have immigrant women coming in with 2 or 3 children and they get welfare for each one. Then another one comes in and is claiming the same children and they're not allowed to question it. I think that many of these immigrants are more about being rewarded for doing nothing.

Sure thing!! Wouldn't you love to go and live in a safe place that gives you money for doing nothing at all?. I get why they come. I don't get why our government has let them. What about Americans who need help. Like so many of our elderly, veterans and working poor?

They commit crimes and disappear across the border, lay low for a while then sneak back into the US. They have nothing to lose, even if caught their time in jail is like a vacation, three hots and a cot. Many of them have the mothers of their illegitimate children support them while they're in jail/prison with their welfare money. We the people are tired of this crap, seal the borders and cut foreign aid to these countries. MAGA

I took a good look af the people in the caravan today. It is down by half. It looked like the childern are gone, and the caravan was mostly people between 14 and 30. We will be lucky of 1,000 make it to the border. So. Trump is going to send 14,000 troups to protect us from these kids?
