Art someone is giving you some very false information OPERATION AMERICAN SPRING has absolutely NO intentions of starting any violent confrontations..Since when are we not allowed to have peaceful rallies? Did i miss something?

Yes you did miss something. Your very name suggests violence to overthrown our country. Arab Spring was series of violent anti government uprisings in various countries in North Africa and the Middle East that brought misery and instability and many innocent civilian deaths. "Operation" is often used for a planed military assault.

You can put your own BS disclaimers that your intent is peaceful, but your name says it all and if you are a participate and things go wrong, you have become a domestic terrorist.

I've participated in local demonstrations and the cause was our title. No one got hurt and our message was heard without violence.

You want a peaceful demonstrate? Change your name or you are going to attract domestic and foreign terrorists who will infiltrate your "Operation" and take over your peaceful demonstration.

Worse case scenario because of the violence, you will have Russia in our business and in our country, just like we are doing in Ukraine.

Also if you do your homework you will know this group has been already co-opted and its message has been distorted by fringe elements on both the right and left. Perhaps your intent is good, 2nd Amendment rights, but this "protest" is nothing but trouble.

The governor sent in the National Guard to confiscate legally bought guns. Unfortunately I think we will be seeing a lot more of this.

I have gone to OAS2014.org as well as many other websites and blogs and I am concerned. I've said all I'm going to say about this. You of course are free to choose what you want to do as I am to share my opinion until something radical changes this.

This photo of my son was taken in Afghanistan during his first tour of duty, despite his inexperience and the enemies resolve to kill him, he made it home alive. He lost a""brother" in combat. My son was injured during a fire fight. It changed him.

He has trained very hard physically and mentally to prepare for his second tour. Left last week. This time he has more responsibility and his job is to lead his team in combat and bring them home alive.

My personal opinion is his job is more dangerous because the enemy knows we have domestic militants organizing to shut our country down in Operation American Spring. I think this emboldens the Taliban and it makes our soldiers work harder and more dangerous abroad. The sad thing is all he wants to do is make our country safer. He has a new wife and baby back home he'll want to come home to protect them should this "operation" be successful. He will have to put aside his wants and needs and finish his mission as our country needs him where he is now.

You are very hard to figure out Art..Do you not see the infrigments on our rights as American citizens..Obviously you care about your country and so does your very brave son..Please thank him for his service..Honestly do you really believe that we are not being transformed into something that one day we will regret..This administration and others on the other side of the aisle are trying to destroy our constitution..Just look at the attacks on our freedoms..1st Amendment..2nd amendment...A health care law that is Socialist in nature ..God bless your son..

We will ALL have a chance to participate in an operation in November 2014 and 2016. They are called elections. Then we can throw all the bastards out. But by all means, have your Operation American Spring. The right to peacefully assemble and to petition the government for a redress of grievances is guaranteed in the US Constitution.

As for our service men and women, I think we owe them a huge debt of gratitude and thanks and they should be taken care of as veterans deserve. In my opinion, they have gone beyond the call of duty, by being called upon to serve their country and then been shackled in the process.

What did we accomplish in Vietnam? What did we accomplish in Iraq. What will we have accomplished in Afghanistan? Besides getting a bunch of soldiers killed and wounded.

I would hope that the US government, in its fear of the people, will not violate the Posse Comitatus Act of 1878 that makes it a crime to use the military as a domestic police force on US soil. But more than that, I would hope that none in the military would ever think of turning on their fellow citizens because they were exercising a Constitutional right.

Kent State, Ruby Ridge, and the Branch Davidian massacre at Waco come to mind as horrible tragedies that should have never happened.

But then again, even before O the government has been militarizing police forces across the nation with unnecessary military equipment for what purpose if not to turn on the people when our leaders fear us too much?
Even a town of 175,000 people have acquired a $275,000 armored personnell carrier. WTF for?

We are living in scary times folks. I think our freedoms and rights are in danger. But not from terrorists or militias but from a criminal government that is beginning to feel the need to squash any and all perceived threats to their power and the terrorists and militias will just be their excuses.
