He got what you think he actually deserved in a slow and painful death for raping and killing a seven year old girl; heck, it should have been worse. A carelessness about the Constitution on "cruel and unusual punishment" out of mind. It is a far, far more difficult thing to do, and more humane and in keeping with the Law of the Land, to protest such a thing--in the face of outrage over such a horrific act and needed just desserts. Who could like someone that could find anything wrong in that state murder of that scum? Seems heartless, despite it protects all citizens of this country.)
I see this as one of the fundamental differences between those two sides—and it tells a far bigger and fundamental story about the two ideologies. It could be broken down to a simple formula: The Right has simple and uncomplicated beliefs, and the Left has complicated and difficult beliefs. This is a somewhat fair appraisal, but it is a bit more complicated.
The fact the Left appears to have grey areas is condemned by the Right. The fact the Right appears to have nothing but Black and White views is condemned by the Left. Take the movie "Open Range" and the series "Lonesome Dove." (Two of the greatest shows ever aired. I have seen both maybe maybe 4 or 5 times.) The Right is thrilled by the Frontier Justice and the Left is conflicted (maybe?). Personally, I would love to relax into the ease of the Right. To be so sure would be such a great relief. To watch those shows with full agreement. I do love their strength of character, courage, determination, seeming everyday decency and honor, loyalty, sacrifice, integrity: to know and possibly be friends with men of such great character would be an honor. Yet all of them disgraced the Law of the Land. Frontier Injustice. Vigilante vengeance. In a similar vein, it appears none of them would be against water-boarding or other extra-legal activity by police to get a conviction for people known to be guilty freed by a technicality: the Constitution not even a second thought.
Liberals will be outraged, Conservatives will grin... (

There seems to be zero question as to this person's guilt. If there was even .1% doubt I would be against killing him. Since he did it, what is the question here ? What do fictional television shows have to do with real life ?
If we are bringing in fiction to a reality based debate, lets at least use something worthy like Clint Eastwood or John Wayne movies.
