I so not profess to have all of the answers to the issues facing our country, but I refuse to give up, crawl in a corner and allow the bricks to come tumbling down on our head. I will ask each of you that read this post to add comments, thoughts, and your idea of real solutions that might help to restore our country to its rightful place in the world.

Please put aside political party affiliations and political persuasions. We need to address issues that are hindering the economic recovery, be that recouping lost jobs, tax rates, politicians picking winners and losers, lobbyists, courts rulings, unions and their impact, federal agency policies, election issues, illegal immigration issues, foreign immigrates & their impact, entitlements, etc.

In summing this post, please bring your ideas and opinions on what changes are needed to restore our country. Suggested topics to discuss:
• Court Decisions: How to restructure the courts to strictly interpret cases according to constitutional compliance
• Federal Reserve Act and alternatives. Do we audit the Fed, fire the Fed or leave things the way they are? Do we go back to a precious metal bases currency? Do we implement the Bitcon model for a new currency. The Fed has allowed inflation to diminish the purchasing power of the dollar. The Fed is a banking cartel and in not part of the US Federal Government. Do we abolish IRS and replace the progressive tax with a flat tax or consumption based tax.
• Glass-Stiegel Act: do we go back to this law and restrict wall street from selling derivative based investments? Do we separate banks and investment houses?
• How do we attract companies to relocate back to the US and bring the jobs?
• How do we reverse the concentration of power in the central Federal Government and return the power to the states.
• How do we insure that all elections are fraud free or close to that model? How to we control undue influence in election outcomes to insure that the voice of the people is heard. I would like to see elections with very high turn outs. I would like to see voting connected to driver’s license renewal. If you are licensed, you must show proof that you voted to renew your driver’s license. If a licensed driver did not show proof of voting, they would be required to retake the written and road test for a renewal. Also , every voter must show an approved and state issued photo ID to receive a ballot.
• Do we create a Sunshine commission to review all Federal Laws on the books as to their present day relevance.
• How do we restrict the Lobbyists influence?

The answer to most of this is pretty simple, but hard to do. That is simply to make our government conduct itself according to the Constitution. We can start by electing people that KNOW the Constitution and then make sure they use it in their decision making. That is the hard part. Getting people involved in government again. It used to be that most people were involved to some degree, but today most people just ignore the government and let it do pretty much what it wants to do. If this Congress had been conducting business according to the Constitution Obama would never have appeared on ANY ballot for President. He is not qualified. Since he is not a Natural Born Citizen, he cannot run, let alone get elected. Because Congress and the SC are not acting according to the Constitution he got in anyway. We would not have the debt we have now or the spending, the FED would be gone and more then likely all of them would be in jail for what they have done to this country, our money would be sound and very little if any inflation and we would not have been in all these wars we have been involved in.

As for federal laws, we can simply get rid of most of them. There are so many federal laws on the books that no one person has any hope of knowing them all. As for restricting lobbyists, that is easy too, just make them illegal.

Almost every problem we have here in this country can be cured simply by going back to the Constitution. If you do that, you do away with most of the cause of our problems. The FED was not allowed until we got duped into passing that stupid amendment, but that can be changed too and you would not believe how bad we have been screwed on income taxes. There are a couple more amendments that we need to get rid of too, but that is for another day.

You can't fix the system until you fix the people who have been indoctrianted and lied to for generations.

It is a cancer, you must attack the problem at its source and from within. People talk a good game what they can do on a local and federal level yet it won't amount to a hill of beans until you fix the society that keeps the rotten heart of corruption pumping.

The sad truth is that our Nation is so badly fragmented that nothing short of a revolution will put it back on course.
The attached video illustrates just how badly Government social programs have failed. The male members in this brief news story all have blood on their hands. The victims range from fellow gangbangers to innocent men and women working at an all night convenience stores to couples walking back to their parked cars after attending a social event.
When a junkie commits murder in order to feed his habit then EVERY person who sells dope collectively has blood on their hands. So long as we lack the will to act harshly against this plague our Nation will continue drifting apart.
What I'm saying is this: The first order of business is restoring law and order. Then we can start our task of creating a better Nation.

And I really feel it will come to that. A lot of people like to say "oh it'll just be non-voilent revolution." Really? Could these people be that naive?

When some of us throw around the word "revolution" we are looking at a scenario similar to Syria, Egypt and now Ukraine and God forbid if the invasion is going to be UN peace keepers...

I think the first step would be to elect non lawyers to the Congress. Lawyers are the only race of human I know that can take a simple statement and make 20 different meanings out of it. Without "gray area thinking", things would be more clear. Ambiguity has to be created and since the Constitution is NOT ambiguous, lawyers have screwed it up for years.

Baby steps at first.

As a political candidate you are not allowed to accept money from an individual who does not live in the state you are running to represent nor from a corporation that does not have a physical office in your state, nor from a PAC that is not registered in your state.

I got on a wrong list and have been asked for donations for candidates in 6 or 7 states; and I have never made a political donation. Outside donations are pouring into my state.

The 1st place to start to restore the country should be to eliminate Political Correctness which mainly consists of EVERYONE understanding what exactly it is. Most peoples Idea of Exactly what PC is, is a little foggy. This clears that up.

First off electoral vote shouldn't be. Let the actual citizens vote. Then bills presented to Congress should be put to a vote thru the municipality by citizens bypassing Congress altogether. Only"We" can represent ourselves. Just a thought

How can we restore this country? I say we call Texas' bluff and let them secede. They can take all their electoral votes and 2 U.S. Senators with them. That should give the rest of us some peace and quiet for a very long time. It can be a friendly divorce. They can keep all their weapons. When Texans visit the U.S. however they will be required to leave them at home and not bring them into our country. If it makes them happy they can even put the confederate battle flag on their new passports. If they want to put Robt. E. Lee and Jefferson Davis on their new currency, I'm sure the folks across their border, will not object.
